CapezioWomen's 2028 Canvas Juliet Ballet Shoe

These are great ballet shoes. Not sure why the photo has the elastic not sewn. the Elastic is already attached. My daughter loves these shoes, they accentuate her arch and she feels very comfortable in them. She can go 3-4 hours in a master class and they are not tight. The sizing is a bit confusing. We did go to Capezio store to try her very first pair on ages ago and ever since then I just get half a size up when her foot grows. Her regular size is 5 and I had to get these in size 6.5M. so its 1.5 size up for her. She's been wearing this particular shoe for 2.5 years already, they are great!

So happy I was able to find good quality capezios on Amazon!!! Gone are the days when you have to go to the dance store to get shoes. Just like the ones from when I was a young dancer. Only thing is these run super small, I usually wear a 6.5-7 and had to buy a size 8.

I really love how fitted and comfortable the Juliets are. The material is so breathable and came in a colour that's closer to white than it is to pink. And yes, it does feel like a sock! I especially love the idea of a seamless arch! It really does hug your instep and show off your arch, no matter how low.However, the Juliets weren't able to fully function since the shoes came pre-sewn! The description said they would only be sewn at the heels so that you can sew the front as you wish. I was disappointed, and was forced to redo the sewing. However, after you sewed them properly, these shoes are definitely beautiful!Also, these shoes seem to run a little small. I would suggest that you order a full size up from your street size (I did, and it fit me perfectly!). However, it may be best to just measure your foot's length and consult the "sizing info" next to the size dropdown box. A chart will pop up showing the size and length of the shoe so you'll know exactly how long the shoe is.There's also one more problem: the canvas covering the elastic drawstring seemed a bit rough and if you tied the elastics too tight, the canvas would rub against your skin (and especially your Achilles heel!). But what's ballet without a little pain?

Great shoe, good sturdy canvas. I am women's shoe size 8.5US (24.5cm) and the Capezio size 10Wide fit best for me. Recommend sizing up 1.5 from your regular shoe size.

Update--I decided to buy another pair of Capezio Juliet since I did not want to re-purchase a made in China brand. This time I ordered a 8.5 W, which is a full size AND a width wider than my street shoe size (for reference, my mother wears and 8.5 W street shoe and her shoes are WAY too big for me to wear). The pair I received fit even narrower than the previous 8 M. Even though they are a half size longer AND a width wider than the previous pare of this shoe I had, they are so tight I am unable to wear them. It actually hurts to rise to the demi-point because it's cutting of the circulation across my foot. I can't understand how this is possible unless I received a mislabeled shoe, but I am frustrated with Capezio to say the least and will no longer consider buying from them.I had a pair of canvas Capezio Juliets purchased several years ago which wore out and I bought these to replace them. They are absolutely NOT like the previous pair. This canvas has no stretch at all and the fit seems to be at least half a size smaller, if not possibly a full size smaller. I wear 7.5 street show and ordered an 8 and could barely get them on. Very surprising there was no stretch to the canvas. Strongly recommend going up a full size from your street shoe size even if you previously didn't need to.

Despite the product being listed as unsewen, these shoes came pre-sewn (and tacked with glue!). Why, you ask, would I knock stars down for this? Well, I want to sew them in the place that best flatters my instep. These elastics were *not* pre-sewn in the correct position ... not for my feet, and I presume, not for many people's anatomy unless your arch is closer to your toes than your heel. I seam ripped and re-did them and the fit is much better, as seen in the attached photos.I am street shoe 7. The 7.5Reg were too snug. I re-ordered 7.5Wide (an 8 would have left me gaping fabric at the heel). I have never worn a "wide" shoe in my 25 years of dancing but these feel fine.I also have doubts about authenticity as Capezios. Should have known better than to order on Amazon but I wanted them fast. Will update after a few ballet classes. (I'm an ex-professional taking adult recreational classes.)

I wear a size 9.5 in womens in regular shoes so l ordered a 10. The 10 is great my foot looks like the pic snug and fit... now it may be too snug. The agustable strap with the bow is where it is snug, right across the top of the foot. But l hear you have to break in ballet stuff so l looked inside the shoe. Underneath the bow on the inside is a finish of lining glued to the inside. l cut them off just before they go into the seam. Then l put my hands on opposite sides of the bow and pulled until l heard a few ,like 3 or 4, stitches rip. Where it looked like double stitching right where the bow is (underneath on the inside of the shoe)l cut those ONLY like 2. We don't want to undo the whole shoe. It relieved alot of pressure. NOW I LOVE THESE SLIPPERS!

Bought these for the Mrs.Take your normal shoe size; go up one full size (if your normal shoe size is a 9 buy a 10, if 9 wide buy 10 wide.) They will fit wonderfully. She absolutely loves the split sole design.
