Could Not Be Happier
Like most people, I hardly ever write reviews. I write positive reviews even less. However, I feel compelled to write a review for this product because I am so happy with it.I bough this to use for a wifi router I had just purchased. I was struggling to find the right fit for a wifi router because the one I had ultimately decided on had some reviews of excessive heat and poor cooling. I decided to go ahead and get it and buy this cooling pad to put it on.I had one concern with the cooling pad and that was the noise level. I had never used one of these and since I was planning to have it running 24/7 on my desk, noise was a big factor.I am happy to say the cooling pad is super quiet! Even on the highest setting it is not bad at all. And, since it is also effective, I even lowered the speed down to mid way. My PC fans are way louder so I can't even hear the pad at all. If the room was completely silent, I'd probably hear the pad but it's really not very loud at all anyway.Speaking of the effectiveness, it lowered my router temps from 110F on the top of the router to about 80 - 85F measured with my infrared temp gun. The top of the router feels cool to the touch now instead of warm. Really really happy with the results. The only drawback I'd have to say is that the supplied usb cable is not very long. Considering this is intended for a laptop that's understandable. It's maybe 1.5ft. But for the price of this thing that is no big deal to me. I just ordered a cheap 3ft usb cable to use and this setup will be perfect.

6 month of continuous use
I use this cooler for keeping my home audio receiver cool while in use. But i have them running continuously sitting on top of the receiver in the cabinet.I’m surprised that it’s been running fine. At higher speeds you can hear the fans when nothing is playing. But I run it at lowest speed, keeps my receiver cool and has been pretty quiet as well as reliable.

Seems to be well worth the money
Having used this cooling platform for a few weeks with my work laptop, I am seeing a substantial drop in apparent operating temperature and possibly the elimination of a heat-related video issue that has plagued this machine for a couple years. (The jury is still out on that last observation, but so far there seems reason to hope.)Taking it out of the box, I thought the stand felt a bit flimsy at first. Once it was set up on the desk, those concerns passed. It's not built like the Brooklyn Bridge nor does is need to be, but it appears to be well-suited for its purpose. Put a laptop computer on it, don't accidentally use it as a chair cushion and it should be fine. Two reasonably large diameter fans move plenty of air at lower speeds, making them an effective choice in quiet environments. They move that air without whining like a Dremal tool - nearly silent operation. Unless I put an ear directly on the platform, I cannot hear the fans at all.Power demands are solidly within USB specs, although somewhat higher than the 380mA quoted in the specifications. Even at the lowest fan speed, current usage never dropped to that level. With the thumbwheel speed adjustment set to the middle of its range, the tray pulls about 570mA. Not at all unreasonable, but roughly 1.5x as much current as rated. This might be important to know in some fringe cases. If power consumption is highly important for you (and you don't mind voiding the warranty) then installing a switch to kill the blue LEDs may help a little bit. If not, the lights provide a gentle glow around the machine, which may help in some situations. The light spills out through the metal grill on the top of the platform around the laptop, as expected with a one-size-fits-all device. This may be a plus for some and a distraction for others. It's easily reduced/eliminated with a small roll of black vinyl electrical tape, which conveniently blends in very well with the plastic of the base. After masking the area around the laptop, it looks like it left the factory this way!Overall, none of the negatives were very negative to me. I'm expecting that this platform will keep the laptop computer cool for longer than I'll have the computer, and, barring any unforeseen failure, I expect I'll remain very happy with the purchase.

Keeps the computer from getting too hot.
Purchased to keep the laptop computer from getting too hot. This duel fan does the job. Price was a good deal also.

Makes Computing a Breeze
Works great, looks great! My laptop's internal fan was making some noise when left on. I ordered this laptop cooling fan and plugged it in using the short USB cord provided (perfect length). I've been using for two days now and it is working great. No noise from laptop or this cooling pad. The blue light provides a quiet sign that the dual fans are receiving power, very useful since it is so quiet. The fan has a dial for an adjustable fan speed control and a spare USB port. The metal mesh top provides a solid support for the laptop and the base has a pop-up plate to keep the laptop/iPad from sliding off when I use the incline feature. I use it flat but it has about 5 adjustable incline angles if I ever wanted to use it with my iPad. Well made and lightweight but it appears to be durable for standard use. I highly recommend!

broke after a few months, but great when it does work
Im writing this through my moms account (since shes the one whos ordered it) but the usb port started to become loose not even a few months after christmas, or atleast was starting to break. the usb port where you plug the connector to the laptop got loose and is now barely working, akin to like when your phone charger only works at one angle?Other than that everything is fine, its just that the port is very easy to break even when youre gentle with it. Im pretty sure i got it for christmas and its only been 9 months?
