Zymox Otic with hydrocortisone is used for the treatment of acute and chronic otitis externa, an inflammation of the outer ear characterized by itching, swelling, redness and pain in the outer part of the ears. Simply touching the ears of your pets can hurt. Acts as both a cleaner and a treatment, in just one application daily. Also recommended for treating difficult problematic pets, rodents and sensitive exotics.

My cat had an ear infecting and it's better and helps but it needs more antibiotic's.
The vet charged me $800. Un fortunatly I will have to not rescue any more pets they want just too much money and are no longer into helping anmials.

This product without veterinary consultation can harm your pet!
I am a licensed and accredited veterinarian, and has now seen 2 patients who have ordered this medication (and this is a medication!) from this location. It does great to remove inflammation as all steriods do. Unfortunately for one of my patients the owner purchased this product and used it for several months while the patient had a perforated tympanic membrane (ear drum). It did great for the pain and inflammation to a point until it became a middle ear infection and possibly has deafened the patient due to the bacterial infection that went untreated. Ie. this has no antibiotic component nor anti yeast component to it.Most otitis externa (ear infections) are caused by malaysia pachydermatis which typically overgrowth when there is a skin problem as inner ear epithelium are generated from the same tissues as the skin. ie a skin problem including fleas leads to ear problems that allow for an overgrowth of either yeast or bacteria. Thus leading to external ear infections which Owners see as scratching, pain, inflammation, heat when ear canal flora and normal biotics get disturbed. If an outer ear infection goes on long enough and or damage to the membrane occurs it becomes a middle or inner ear infection. So back to my point. The owner of said animal thought his dog was doing well for 2 months and then his pet started vomiting and falling over as the ear infection he tried to diagnose himself and use this product over the counter caused his pet harm.long story short check with your veterinarian BEFORE you use this product!
