Nature's Path Organic Smart Bran Cereal, 10.6 Ounce (Pack of 6), Non-GMO, 17g Fiber, 4g Protein

I was very pleasantly surprised when I first tried Smart Bran. I love its crunchy texture and great flavor, all the more because it is low in sodium and low in sugar without resorting to using Aspartame. The fact that all of the ingredients are organic is a definite health plus. I have been eating Fiber One original (the "twigs") for years because it seemed to be the only really high fiber cereal (14 grams)and was not loaded with sugar in one form or another. It is sweetened with Aspartame, however, contains corn oil, guar gum and a few other less-than-desireable ingredients, and is primarily corn bran. Smart Bran is composed of Oat Bran which has been shown to help reduce high cholesterol. I haven't heard anything about corn bran in that regard. Smart Bran also contains psyllium in a very tasty form & works great for keeping the lower digestive track functioning efficiently. I mix a rounded quarter cup of Smart Bran with fresh fruit and cottage cheese for my breakfast most mornings and find it's a great way to start the day. Buying it through Amazon in a 6 pack saves me more than $1.50 per box over local supermarket prices, and I don't have to worry about it being out of stock. I highly recommend Smart Bran, and look forward to incorporating it in my baking as well.

Yum! Lightly sweet pellets that are easy on the teeth. Not too sweet; just right. I dont need it sweet, but this little bit of added cane sugar does make it taste extra nice. Tastes good directly from box as a snack, or consumed as a cereal, or my fave: added to a bowl of plain (or any flavor) yogurt with a handful of berries. Goodly amount of fiber per 3/4 cup serving. I usually eat 1 serving, sometimes closer to 2 depending on how I am eating it. Good stuff. Love being able to buy a multi pack Ingredients: Organic wheat bran, organic oat fiber, organic cane sugar, organic psyllium seed husk, organic barley malt extract, organic oat bran, organic whole oat flour, sea salt.

I had been eating Kelloggs Bran Buds which were fine except they contained a few unfavorable ingredients (HFCS being one of them!). I went looking for the organic approach in a similar product and found Smart Bran by Nature's Path. I enjoy it equally well and feel that I am getting a superior product because of the organic and wholesome ingredients. I am grateful it is being offered undert the S&S program so it is at a very favorable price compared to the per box price in a grocery store (plus it's difficult to even FIND this product at a lot of stores!). This cereal fills me ups and seems to keep my digestion process funtioning well. I like it with greek yogurt and fresh fruit. The serving size is really more than adequate (don't fill up your cereal bowl!). A good choice if you are looking for a bran cereal.

Lots of great fiber. This cereal needs some healthy marshmallows made with gelatin and no artificial dyes for flavor, it's bland. But I mix it with my favorite Heritage Flakes from Nature's Path and add raisins. I wish it was made with kosher salt instead of sea salt. I don't like the minerals in sea salt. Despite all of these complaints, I am happy that your company offers this fiber full cereal! Digests easily and comfortably. Thank you!

After buying Fiber One, the famous General Mills cereal..for over 10 years, I discovered that it contained aspartame. No wonder it had such a fake, overly sweet taste! I called General Mills to complain, and voice my concerns about aspartame. They didn't care, even though I told them I had been buying it for 10 years and was throwing both boxes in my pantry in the trash. They didn't send me a refund. So anyway, I looked for a replacement and found this delicious cereal! I LOVE it. Have you ever tried grape nut flakes? If so, do you like the malt-y, naturally sweet flavor? Well, I think this cereal kind of has a similar flavor, but maybe a bit less sweet and kind of a nutty hint to it. If it's not sweet enough, you can always sweeten it with fruit, yogurt, splenda, or another cereal mixed in. (but PLEASE stay away from aspartame, I have said this in another review, but I personally know people who are diet soda addicts and who have gotten cancer.) My family loves this over chobani yogurt, or sprinkled over other cereal, or plain with milk/almond milk.
