I returned a similar one that had springs on both sides. This one got the design right by only having one spring on one side. Its is connected to my lower dash that has a ball connector.

Product just works and at a much more reasonable price than exercise machine’s manufacturer wanted for an OEM replacement part. Its plug and play for the ball joint diameter I was targeting.

Works great for phones without cases. Super tight fit for phones with cases. I already broke one trying to get my phone in it. If you use a case for larger phone, look for a different holder.
