I haven't used an eye-shadow primer before so I don't have anything to compare this product to. I was surprised how well this primer actually works. Most eye-shadows don't last very well on me, and this base does help it stay in place without creasing and the color stays true. It is easy to use -- I don't have the Lids By Design cosmetic strips mentioned in the product description, but this primer works just fine without them. I just need a tiny amount on the applicator and I have time to thin it out a bit and make sure it is a light, smooth layer before it sets. On hot summer days, my eye shadow is usually gone within a couple of hours, but with this primer, it lasts all day (it does lose some intensity over the course of the day, which I expected). I have sensitive skin and this causes no irritation. The current price of $19.00 seems very reasonable for what seems to be a generous amount of the primer (especially since so little is needed per application). I'm happy to have run across this and will definitely purchase it again.

I bought this as it was marketed to go with the Lids by Design eye tape, but I have no idea why. I put it on top of the Lids by Design and the tape started to unstick. Well, perhaps I didn't clean my eyelid well enough and I was still a bit greasy. So properly cleaned and I tried again. Nope. It's the product. If you're buying to pair with Lids by Design, it's a fail. If you want a "white" eye primer and don't use the tape, this is marginal in performance. I got lines on my eyes with both powder and cream shadows by mid-day. If you want white, Anastasia Beverly Hills works better...

I want to be able to wear eyeshadow, but this does not work for most eyeshadows. I do wear it under some glitter that I wear for fun days, but for shadow, The sticker sticks out like a sore thumb.

This has been working so well, keeping my shadow looking fresh all day. I have always had the problem that by the time I left work my eyeshadow looked terrible and ended up in all my lid creases. It goes on very thin and dries quickly and I can’t even feel it after that, I simply apply my shadow and it does it job of keeping it fresh and flawless for the day. Since I have been using this lid primer , my shadow looks at bedtime, almost like it did when I put it in in the morning. I am so pleased with this primer and wish I had been using it years ago.

I really wanted to be able to wear eye shadow while using the LIDS BY DEDIGN strips (which I LOVE, BTW), but the product does NOT allow me to do that as promised. I'm returning it. No matter how I applied it, no matter how long the dry time, no matter what shadow I used, this product did not work. It lifted the strip each and every time. The shadow did look richer in color, but I'm not willing to use it unless it makes it so I can wear shadow with the strip applied! Don't waste your $$ - but mostly DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!

I definitely noticed a difference when I don't use a primer underneath my eyeshadow, and it was time for a new one since I was out of my old. This is a decent sized tube, and it goes on a little bit wet. I was a little concerned at first on how runny it was, but it dries very quickly and easy to rub in. It really makes a difference and holds the eyeshadow. The last tube of primer I had was pretty small, so I think this will last a long time especially because you don't need that much. I don't have any complaints because it does what it says it should.

I should have known when there were so many videos by this company on how to use these, that they are hard to get right. The fact that by picking them up with tweezers keeps them from sticking where the tweezer touched is irritating. Also the fact that once it's placed - if it's wrong you've just wasted the strip. They are not easy to master. And for the price, wasting most of the strips is not something I can afford. When I do get a strip on it always was visible, it does not lay flat. For me at least. These are too expensive and too tricky for "practice". I'll look for a brand that provides more pieces at a lower price point giving me more practice opportunities. Would not buy again.
