Excellent HDMI switcher at a bargain price
This is a joint review of1. TechOrbits HDMI Switch 6 Port with Remote Control HDMI HUB with Full 4K and 3D Support ($50), and2. Redhilly HDMI Switch 4k with IR Remote Intelligent MINI HDMI Selector Switcher Box 5 Port, Supports 4K, Full HD1080p 3D ($14, apparently reduced from $24)since they are both HDMI switches, the second costing a bargain $14 compared to the first at $50. I bought both since I needed the audio output of the TechOrbits and the 6th port, but couldn't turn down the bargain basement price of the Redhilly. They both worked just fine and switching from 6 (or 5) ports to 1. So I will just focus on their differences:Where TechOrbits (TO) beats out Redhilly (RH):- Solid heavy brushed aluminium case and better aesthetics in general- Has separate audio out ports (3.5 mm stereo jack + TOSLINK optical with ARC support) (RH has no separate audio out for connecting to audio systems)- One additional port (6 to RH's 5)- Much Better packaging and looks like there's a real company behind it with a website and so on.Where Redhilly (RH) beats out TechOrbits (TO):- Obviously on the price, at just over 1/4 the price- Power supply not needed (not even included) as it powered off the HDMI port (which TO did not, in fact TO has a power-supply included, but is annoyingly a difficult-to-replace non-USB one). But RH does have a power input and a USB power cable in case your configuration needs the power boost (mine didn't for the RH but did for the TO).- Lightweight and easy to read symbols (TO tries to be TOO discreet and you cannot even read the fine white-on-silver writing on the inputs).Where they are similar:- Remote Control and channel switching work the same way on both (can only switch to an active channel, auto-switches to the "next" active channel when current one turns off, auto-switches to any active channel that happens to turn on (which can be an annoyance as other reviewers have pointed out).- Both have idiosyncrasies in their manuals. RH has the incomprehensible statement, "When plugged in or out, the switcher is completely intelligent." TO has a better written manual but its remote has two mysterious buttons labelled "Bypass" and "Auto" (not present on the unit itself) with no obvious function, and the manual itself is silent on the subject.- Different but similarly irritating: TO's LEDs are too small and hard to read; RH's LEDs are annoyingly bright, requiring the device to be hidden behind something.SUMMARY: If you need the audio output and/or the 6th port, go with the pricier TechOrbits, otherwise the Redhilly seems a bargain buy. Taking the price into account, I gave RH 5 stars and TO 4 stars.

Top quality item and top tier customer service
Honestly, I don't like reviewing products, I know I suck but I'm lazy. However, this thing has made my life a whole lot easier, it's super convenient and works great! This isn't the full reason why I decided to write this though, the first one of these I received didn't work as I expected it to so I contacted the Customer Service Team at Redhilly and I was blown away. Not only did they reply to me almost immediately, but they were so friendly and willing to help and replace my defective item. Now the new HDMI Switch I receive works amazing and I honestly couldn't be happy.Seriously though, kudos to the customer service at this company, I really wish there were more companies that were as helpful as this team.

Grwat buy, little cheap on feel of plastic.
I bought this item because we have a remodeled home with a new built in entertainment center. I can only run 2 HDMI cables from entertainment cupboard to television, but my children have multiple gaming systems plus cable box. The quality of the material feels cheap and lite. Plastic feels very thin but the case is very sturdy. All the HDMI ports work great and there is a selector switch on the box to change the inputs if you lose the remote. Remote works well also. There is a blue led light that glows very bright, so if youre trying to conceal it you'll have to cover the glow of light. The quality of picture is right where we expected it for high definition however we do not currently use any 4k viewing of any kind; just blue ray gaming and netflix hd. All in all a very good product at a great price and i would def recommend and rebuy. Only dropped one star because it does feel cheap to hold. Good luck!

Didn't work with all my HDMI devices, remote was inconsistent too.
Research before you buy! The item does not work with all devices, specifically, my Nintendo Switch, Wii U, and my bluray player didn't work well with this. My Cable box, DVD players, and SNES classic worked with it perfectly, so...not sure why some devices worked an others didn't.The remote was very touchy- didn't work consistently at all. It was convenient when it worked. So, anything positive to say about this? Well, the number of inputs for the price is great. Also, the device doesn't need to be plugged in to a power source to work (a pleasant surprise). As far as I could tell, plugging it in didn't make it work any better with my failed devices.Still, I was pretty disappointed, and returned it the day I got it.

It may take some troubleshooting but it serves the purpose
The device works just fine once you get it connected. I wish the directions were clearer. I plugged everything in the first time and nothing worked. So I unplugged everything and then reconnected the switch first then my two devices. After I was able to use the switch manually I pulled out the remote. It needed a new battery. I was disappointed that I had to replace the battery that came with the device. After all of that it’s working just fine.

I would strongly recommend this to anyone
I have had numerous different types of HDMI splitters, each one not lasting that long. The one prior to this lastest the longest, but even then it kept cutting out. I bought this one a while back and it works perfectly. The remote didn't last very long, but I'm not too lazy to reach over and push a button, so I really do not care about that issue. All I care about is how it works in switching devices, and that is perfectly done. Yes, I would strongly recommend this to anyone.

Don't Waste Your Time and Money.
Sorry, but it worked good for one day then it wouldn't work again. Including the remote which had about a 5 ft. range, any farther away and it wouldn't work. Returned it for a refund.

Returned
Inputs would automatically switch to another source when multiple items were plugged in and "on". Manually changing inputs would sometimes work after pressing the button multiple times. Remote never worked even after switching out the battery. Contacted customer service, they never responded so item was returned. I'll try another company.
