I researched Disk Blu-ray Players using the feedback from Amazon customers. This product had high reviews. There were some negative ones about the product failing but it seems these were the exceptions. I unpacked the product and within a few minutes I had it set up with my TV , Netflix App, Amazon Prime App, and Pandora App. So far I have been very pleased with the product viewing both Blu-ray and regular DVD's. The installation was simple. I do agree with the criticisms that it does not have a light on when turned on. I have no idea why the developers made this product without such a feature. However, for the price it is just something you get used to.

I purchased this as a gift and had it sent directly to my friend 1,500 miles away. He was thrilled to receive it and said it worked great, so I'm giving it 4 stars just because I haven't seen it or used it myself. Shipping was quick and it arrived a day earlier than expected, so that was a plus. I like that the package included the HDMI cable so I didn't have to buy one to send separately to my friend. Very happy with experience.

So far similar to the other Samsung blu ray interface. Bought this because Hulu stopped supporting my old Samsung blu ray, so got this and moved the existing one elsewhere. Love all the upgrades except for the lack of Samsung apps for things such as Vimeo, etc. Otherwise, blu rays play well and so far streaming is excellent. Only critique is there is no light or interface in the front, so you would not know it is on unless you see so on the tv screen. For the price, excellent price.

But at your own risk! It froze and skipped right from the start. Intermittently "forgot" where I was on disc after pausing 10+ minutes. Sony tech support helped with an update I had to do MANUALLY - without notice/warning. Worked reasonably well after that for about a year - just long enough to outlive factory 1-yr warranty. Sony IS baloney! They just don't create the quality workmanship that gave them their reputation. Sad and very frustrating.

Eh, it’ll play movies and Netflix/Amazon and Pandora and all that. Gotta have my tv turned up almost all the way though, which really pisses me off. My old DVD player and roku was a lot better. Also, it constantly loses internet connection, which is really, really frustrating.Update: I’ve had it for about a month now, and like literally every day I have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to connect to the internet. It’ll connect to my network but not the internet. Too late to return. Kinda really pissed I wasted so much money on garbage.New update: Had it about a month and a half now and it’s stopped working. Total garbage. Oh, on my order list I just noticed it says “Comes with cleaning cloth.” No it didn’t. Give me my money back please.

If you own a Samsung TV, this is the player for You. If you are able and have the connections, be sure you get the wireless unit. Netflex comes inperfectly & with only signing in once. You can control everything, TV & player with the Player's Remote. You, also, turn the player Off & On with the remote. Was alot of controversy with people saying, they didn't know whether the player was on or of. Now, you see it go off on the screen.This is one wonderful addition to my Samsung 55" HD TV.

Decent playback of DVD and Blue Ray. Good internet connection. Occasionally the unit stops working and the only way to get it started is to unplug and plug it back in. The power button does not fix it. The most terrible thing is that you never know if the unit is on. There is no light indicator to show if it is on. This is so annoying that I do not recommend this unit. There are many similar brands that have a light that lets you know if the unit is on. Whoever came up with this design should be fired.

This will probably be 5 stars by next week when I get a kid to show me how to sinc the photos in my laptop too! The Samsung Blue ray player was easy to install- interfaces with our Samsung smart tv easily- showed up really fast and in excellent condition and I was up and watching a movie in less than an hour after set up.
