Rana George Lenormand

Gorgeous!
These are by far my favorite lenormand cards I have ever purchased. The imagery and symbology is beautiful. The gold foiling is beautiful. The size of the cards is perfect (the size of playing cards) and the book has excellent explanations that help me remember the card meanings better. The four extra cards, bed, spirit, market, and incense burner, are very useful and quite frankly, I think they were needed in a deck all along. Thank you, Rana George.

Beautiful cards, good quality
I have only very recently learned of the Lenormand cards. After 30 years of trying to use Tarot cards now I no longer pick them up. I purchased a Blue Owl deck first and soon learned of the Rana George deck and book. The Rana George deck is the only one I use now. It is a beautiful deck, even the top of the cards is a beautiful design. The card stock is of good quality. Even the box they come in is good quality, strong, magnetic closure. Room to stack the cards in two columns. Cards are small enough to fit in my hands, unlike most tarot decks. I love the subject matter of the cards, the style, the colors, I find them to be very inviting to use and very easy to use. This may sound strange but the cards just feel good in my hands. Like Rana George, I am of Lebanese descent but I believe that even if I weren’t I would still find these cards to be beautiful and easy to use. I also purchased Rana George’s Lenormand book and as a beginner I have found it to be very helpful.

I love everything about this deck!
I adore this Lenormand deck by Rana George! I purchased her book to accompany it, although the deck does come with a pocket-sized book to review some of the meanings of each card. The case is lovely, the quality of the cards is supurb and I love the Lebanese-style artwork and gold details, while still staying very true to the typical images/meanings of each card. Not too busy and not too simple. Truly magical! The deck comes with a few special cards that are not in traditional Lenormand but using them is obviously optional. Sometimes I use them and sometimes I don't. It depends on the query.I'm very happy with my purchase and this is the deck that I grab for 9 times out of 10.

Even better and more beautiful in person! But not a beginner deck.
I gasped when I first laid eyes on these cards - seriously! I knew they’d be gorgeous from seeing them on Lenormand social media posts, but it’s as though the whole card has the faintest kiss of a golden pearlescent sheen in addition to the metallic gold leaf. These cards are, in a word, exquisite. I’m almost afraid to handle them too often lest they wear out, but I’m sure Rana George would be proud to know her cards receive so much love.I have a few other Lenormand decks but needed to add this to my collection because Rana George is the mother of modern Lenormand, and also because I didn’t yet have a deck with actual playing card inserts - just the number & symbol (ie: J♣️). (You can interpret more in a reading by incorporating the direction of the court card.) There are no titles on the cards but it is obvious what each card is if you’re already familiar with Lenormand imagery, and while I didn’t initially anticipate using her extra cards, I like them so much that I actually plan to! (Just not in a Grand Tableau of course.) That said, that’s why I don’t think this is a beginner deck. One must be familiar with the imagery beforehand, and I wouldn’t add extra cards (ie: the Market, the Bedroom) until after you’ve had practice reading a standard deck. My recommendation for beginners is Pixie’s Astounding Lenormand - no tarot experience required, but tarot readers will appreciate the familiar imagery. The cards themselves are sturdy but shuffle well, and I love the detailed magnetic box they come in, but I do wish they had their own separate silk bag or even a tuck box. The box doesn’t even have a ribbon lift which would have been an elegant touch. The book is good, but nowhere near as comprehensive as “Rana George’s Essential Lenormand” book. If you are serious about your study of Lenormand, you must get this book! There are excellent Lenormand resources available online for free, but Rana George is truly the mother of modern Lenormand and is a fount of wisdom!

Beautiful artwork, quality cards.
I love everything about this deck. The sturdy box, the beautiful gilded artwork and the companion guidebook are all great quality. The cards are the same size as the Grand Tableau deck I use daily, and perfect for my hands. The colorful images, geometric designs and numerals recall my years in the Middle East. I found Rana George’s guidebook to be at once to the point and descriptive, the quotations engaging and profound, the examples instructive. If I ever thought it appropriate to give a deck as a gift, the Rana George Lenormand would be my first choice.

Such a pretty deck of Lenormand cards.
I normally don't buy this type of artwork cards as its just the style I'm into. HOWEVER, I have no regrets purchasing this deck. The cards it self is so freaking pretty! I even love the way it sounds when I shuffle these cards. The artwork as well is very drawn and illustrated.

Take cards out for 36 card Grand Tableau spread
You cannot use these cards in relation to Rana George’s book due to the extra cards for the spread. If the book was updated for this extended deck it would be great. In order to use this deck with Rana George’s book, The Essential Lenormand Eleventh Printing 2024 sold by Amazon, you will need to remove the extra male and female cards as well as the four extra cards. If you want to use the small enclosed booklet for reading the descriptions of the cards, it’s a great deck. If you are a beginner you might want to start with a different 36 card deck to not confuse yourself while laying out your spread.

Vibrantly beautiful
The cards are sturdy and of high quality, and the foiling is really vibrant. You can really tell that this is Ms. George's love letter to her cultural heritage, imbued with decades of Lenormand reading experience. The LWB is down-to-earth and clear in its explanation - you could think of it as an "introduction" to Ms. George's comprehensive Essential Lenormand book.Lenormand is not really my thing, but I'm glad to have it.
