I CANT MAKE GOOD RICE! That was before I bit the bullet and treated myself to this incredible rice cooker. But it’s not just a rice cooker! It turns out it makes not only the most incredible rice, but also is a steamer and accomplished one pot meal solution too! First - Rice cooker. Yes, I hear you all shout. Rice is the easiest thing in the world to make! Maybe for you, but for me it has been a complete mystery and a very much hit-and-miss affair. Sometimes good, but mostly awful were my results over the years. So much so I had resorted to buying those awful pouches of pre cooked garbage. First use after the run in went a little like this. Wash your rice until the water runs clear. Four rinses was the amount of times my one cup of Tilda Basmati took to be free of starch and detritus. A tip I got from many hours of YouTube videos was to soak the now clean rice for 30 minutes before cooking, this makes sure each grain gets cooked through fully so there are not “grit” like bites when you’re eating. Then simply drop the pot into the chamber and using the very simple menu button select your chosen option, in this case it was simply “Rice”. Press the start button and wait for the beep. What I ended up with was the most beautifully cooked rice. It fluffed up so each grain was separate and wonderfully soft. Amazing! First-time luck? No, every time I have used it since that first pot I have enjoyed perfect, tasty rice. I have even taken to making it with chicken stock (just an Oxo cube) and it’s incredible. Second Mode - Steamer The steaming basket is a revelation. I adore dumplings! I always have in my freezer a huge bag of chicken and vegetable ones that I get from Costco. I decided to try to cook them from frozen whilst simultaneously making rice! This experiment resulted in me having perfectly steamed chicken dumplings and perfect chicken flavoured rice, all from the same pot, in under 30 minutes. No checking, no stirring, just sit back and enjoy an ice cold beer in anticipation! Amazing. Third - One Pot Cooking This is possibly the best way of using it for my personal situation. I live alone you see. Simply prepare your rice as usual. Then add diced chicken (breast or thighs although I prefer thigh meat, more flavour) and chopped vegetables of your choice, carrot, cabbage, spring onions, garlic, peppers and tomatoes are what I’m tending to to go for and just sit them directly on top of the rice in its water/stock. Press the rice setting, press start and in 30 minutes or so you have and amazing chicken dish that you can be proud of. Easily enough for two large servings from just one cup of rice! So in conclusion. Am I happy? Oh yes, incredibly happy. I have only just started to learn what this amazing gadget can do and I am so looking forward to using it more and more. The removable cooking pot is incredibly high quality, as are all the other parts. The tiny measuring cup is deceiving. One of these little cups makes enough cooked rice for two healthy portions. The stirrer and rice ladle are equally well crafted and fit the pot perfectly. It all packs away into a really small unit size so can be stored away with ease and cleaning is so simple. I recommend this rice cooker greatly. I’m glad I didn’t just go for the cheaper options that are available. This is definitely a case of you get what you pay for! Amazing cooker for so much more than rice. It's so easy to use and versatile, I wish I'd bought one earlier. The functions for rice are all spot on if you follow the instructions and measurements. Nothing has burned or come out inedible. I've made cakes, slow cooked casseroles, dog chewy treats, bibimbap (only fried egg needed cooking separately), and all sorts of rice. The only time that results were not totally perfect was with bomba rice. A quick search using AI brought the solution and incredibly the rice could be salvaged without it becoming gloopy. Truly a beast in the kitchen, and it's even cute and beautiful to look at with its kawaii animal shape. I'd buy it again, no qualms.

I absolutely love this item. It has made my life so much easier! We are a family of 3 adults and this is the perfect size for us. We cook rice everyday so this has paid for itself in time and effort. I love the keep warm feature. It is so easy to operate. Even the least technical person would have no trouble with it. I like that the inside of the pot has the measurements for the water so no guessing required. It beebs when it is done and then will keep the rice warm until you are ready for it. It cooks quickly too. I have not cooked anything else but for me it is worth every penny for the rice alone. In terms of aesthetics it is a perfect size. I was surprised by how small it is but it’s perfect in terms of capacity and doesn’t take up much room. I bought the sage and white version which is very pretty and suits my kitchen colour scheme. All in all a great purchase.

We use this at least 4 times a week. Honestly it is just as good as the product description details. We have been using it for a few months now and I would highly recommend it. The size is good for a small/medium kitchen ideal to be on the counter if used as regularly as we use it. Cook quality is great so easy to use and we have even been using the porridge setting with I’m not a huge fan of. The cooking pot is brilliant it’s easy to clean given it’s not dishwasher safe it cleans in just a few minutes even when it’s been sticky sauces. The ceramic coating allows you to wipe clean really nicely. The steam basket deceptively fits a lot in it great for adding veg to your rice dishes or to steam fruits for in porridge both taste amazing!

This makes cooking rice so easy to do. This rice cooker consistently delivers perfectly cooked rice, taking all the guesswork out of the process compared to traditional stovetop methods. It is also relatively cheap, so I don’t understand the point of spending a lot more money on one when the result will only be fractionally better. The interface is straightforward and user-friendly, making it easy to operate right out of the box. While the instruction manual could be clearer when it comes to measuring water and rice ratios, a quick online search easily resolves any confusion. Cleanup is also very easy with detachable parts that make disassembly simple, and the non-stick inner pot prevents any rice from sticking, making washing up quick and effortless.

Cooks all types of rice well, and is easy to clean. Indeed the rice I have from this thing is miles better than my previous rice cooker. Also cooks cakes and porridge. Feels like a premium rice cooker. Looks like it could be on a spaceship. Can be picked up and swung around easily (imagine it is a space ship). It also comes with a bag to put it in (imagine it's like a hanger for the space ship), and two spoons for both picking rice out of the space ship and fluffing up rice in the spaceship. The marks inside are of good quality and are a great guide, the settings and menus are easy to use. And for 30 to 40 minutes or so of your time at most, it is the best way to cook rice. Plus have I mentioned it looks like a space ship?

I've thought about buying a rice cooker for ages so finally decided to give it a go. After a few uses this is definitely a case of wish I had bought one sooner. We eat rice quite a lot. I used to do via the pan method on the hob and then moved to using a multi function pressure cooker and then back to the pan method but now I've tried this Yum Asia rice cooker, it's way better and much more convenient also. I've tried Jasmine and standard supermarket long grain and both came out perfectly. Somehow it's just not possible in my opinion to get the same result cooking in a pan or with a pressure cooker. The measurement process makes it very simple. One cup of rice, add water to level 1 on the bowl. Separate guidance for brown rice or short grain. Pop it in, close the lid, select the desired option on the control panel (eg long grain) and wait for it to complete. It pings when done and then keeps the rice warm. I was worried it would take a long time but was pleasantly surprised. I think it was around 35 mins for one measuring cup of rice, enough for 2 people. You can tweak the water amount depending on your preference also if you prefer a bit firmer or softer rice. I've tried the porridge function as well. Used pinhead oatmeal / steel cut oats. Added before bed, set it to cook and to be ready in the morning. Was also very good. When I've tried to do this in a slow cooker previously, it always overcooked and burnt the porridge slightly. No burning or brown porridge with this. The rice cooker is also relatively compact so doesn't take up too much space.

Good small rice cooker. Different options for different types of cooking. Easy to cook and clean and looks good on the kitchen top. Cooking times all seem good so far and measures of water to grain seem to work well

Easy, simple. I can make one pot meals easily for 3-4 people and steam veggies in the metal steamer while the rice cooks. I’m going to try lentils and quinoa in there next. This rice cooker has made my life easier

È semplicemente perfetta per chi ha poco tempo. Un limite definirla cuociriso perché si possono fare minestre di verdura, porridge perfetti, yogurt, cottura a vapore, torta margherita. Cottura ceci perfetta ( ovviamente con ammollo precedente) in 40 minuti. Si pesa , si accende e via fa tutto da sola. Facile da pulire. Dimensioni compatte è fatta per stare sempre sul piano cucina. Ideale da uno a tre persone al massimo. Ho impiegato mesi prima di decidere ma devo dire che vale ampiamente il prezzo. Se fate la torta non aspettatevi la parte alta dorata , ma i lati e il fondo si. E il sapore e la cottura sono perfetti.

Een geweldige rijstoker. Compact en mooi vormgegeven. Der rijst is nog nooit zo goed gelukt. Bij 3,5 kop rijst is dit ruim voldoende voor 4 personen. Niet de goedkoopste, wel de beste. Alleen bezorging laat te wensen over, geen goede communicatie over bezorgmoment maar dat komt door Amazon.
