Foodstirs Junk-Free Bakery Organic Double Chocolate Sea Salted Brownie Baking Mix, 16.19 Oz | Non-GMO | Low Sugar

I am not a big fan of boxed bakery mixes. But I thought I'd give this one a try. And it is really, really good. I added a few of my chocolate chips, in addition to the ones in the mix. And that made it even more chocolaty and yummy. Next time I might also add peanut butter chips or cinnamon chips. If you are a home baker but might sometimes want to save a little time, give this mix a try! No one will guess it wasn't totally made from scratch!!

The product itself is fine. I love this brownie. However, the package had a November 2021 "use by" date and I purchased it in Feb. 2022. Unfortunately, I had already baked the mix when I noticed the expiration date. This is not the first time this has happened when I've ordered this FoodStirs product from Amazon. A few years ago I ordered a pack of 8 boxes and EVERY SINGLE ONE had already expired months earlier when I received it. That time I noticed in time and returned them all.

I wanted to love these since I’ve not run across anything Foodstirs that wasn’t good. However, I followed the directions to the letter and they didn’t rise. I think they ended up about 1-2” thick. I also had to bake them longer than stated since they weren’t baking properly. I finally got them to bake, took them out of the oven, cooled to cut and...nearly broke the knife. The flavor wasn’t bad, but the brownies were tough and I ended up throwing them out. This is a Foodstirs mix I’ll steer clear of in the future.

I used to love these. Apparently they changed it for the "better" and removed more unhealthy ingredients... like flavor and moisture.

The brownie mix itself may be okay but after adding 1/3 of the provided finishing salt, the sodium overwhelmed any other flavor & made the whole table give thumbs down. It isn't for us.

I disliked that 1 package arrived already EXPIRED! IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC AND THIS IS WHAT WE GET! I WAS ABLE TO RETURN AND GET MY MONEY BACK... BUT, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!!!!

Was surprised that the box was damaged. It came with other boxed items that were not damaged. The expiration date is soon. Bar code is marked with black marker?

OMG these are the best brownies! They tasted like ones I used to eat years & years ago. No one would believe they were a box mix, Sooooo very delicious and gooey! I recommend 100%!
