Treat your feet fairly
Good socks! Too bad that they are so expensive, though. I suffer with feet that blister easily and Hilly twin-skin socks seem to be a great way to avoid the problem. The company has gone through at least three different designs since I bought my first pair in Carlisle while on a walk across the northern counties of England. Afterward I tried a cheaper 'American just-as-good' substitute which I won't name and which became pretty much useless after a dozen washings. The current version of the Hilly socks seem to be the best of their designs so far. Oh, BTW the first pair I bought in 2010 are still holding up well enough, just looking a bit dingy after seven years of use and uncounted washings.

World class socks
I purchased this after being impressed with another Hilly product. These socks are superb. They fit well, provide cushion, and seem as durable as the former Hilly pair I have. I have worn no other socks in this class. I suppose we take for granted socks are socks... until we wear the Cadillac of socks- Hilly. Then its easy to see we have been previously wearing socks that just suck.

Good for trail running
I wear a size 12.5 in shoes so I went with the XL. It's possible this could be slightly too large, but it still worked for my trail runs. I can't say the large it's better to size down, but I'd be curious to try it out.

Bluster Remedy!
Fantastic socks... there, I said! I now have four pairs and use these socks to run, bike, hike, CrossFit and soccer.I'd cook with them, if that would make sense!Just to share my experience, I've some hiking hiking boots that always gave me blisters in the heel area on trails beyond six miles. It's a Adidas Terrex shoe, super grippy and fast. These socks aliviated all those problems and it's now Happy Trails all the way for me.Buy these socks and enjoy!

Worthless if you're a runner
A blister producing sock. Has a patch under the toes and large knots on the top of the toes.

Shrinks in wash at low temperature, and too tight to start with
I have two pairs of these. I managed to wear each pair twice. I'm an 11.5 and bought size XL, which should have been more than fine, but they were far too tight even as new. I washed them once before wearing, then despite my attempts to stretch them a bit whilst wet, they were painfully tight before first run: after washing them after first-run (a second wash), they are now too tight to even put on. 20 degree, low temperature, air dry. Both will now end up in the recycling bin, making them and expensive rip-off!

They DO NOT absorb moisture from your feet!
I have been using these socks for a few months now and can say without a doubt that they DO NOT pull moisture away from your skin. I bought these thinking they will help me as I do suffer from sweaty feet but they have made no difference to me whatsoever. The sizing is not hugely accurate either, I have small feet so it’s not the end of the world for me but I don’t think someone with feet more than 2 sizes up from me would be comfortable in them. That said they are a comfortable sock, they just don’t do what is advertised.

toe seam is very prominent
I have some excellent Hilly and some okay Hilly and now some not so okay Hilly running socks. I would certainly not opt for these on anything more than a few miles of running. The toe seam at the ends is just too prominent and prone to rub. Still wearable but you must line them up carefully against the small toe. My current Hilly ankle socks are far better, but they are single skin and perhaps that makes all the difference. Not returned but not to be purchased again either.

Comfortable socks for marathon training
Fairly pricey running socks, husband is upping his miles so hopefully worth the investment, these were gratefully received, no complaints so far. They come well recommended, only problem he is experiencing at present is cracked heels, which is likely related to wet feet in the current conditioned rather than issues regarding socks.

Only lasted two runs!
This was my second pair of the twin skins. I like the tight fit and performance of the socks, particularly when I run off road and get wet feet, when they perform very well in not "soaking" water. Unfortunately, the first pair went through in the toe after about 20 miles. I thought I would try again, but the second pair went through in the same place on the first run. I feel like making a complaint and asking for a refund but I have not got around to it. If you buy them, I hope you have better luck than me.
