Fits into standard size door hinge holes
#9 screws, 3" long. The head is 8 mm in diameter.Bought these to replace the "standard" 1" screws that came with my rented house as part of the basic security upgrade. I think the screws that I replaced were #7. These #9 screws fit well in the holes. Most of them went in without any issues but be sure to drill a good length pilot hole first or you are asking for trouble. I used about 20: none of them broke upon install, 1 of them I ended up stripping the head and having to toss (mostly my fault). They match well with the bronze colored door hardware that I have around my house. The heads are a little big for the default hardware (remember, these are #9 screws going into hardware designed for #7 screws), but if you line it up well, it'll fit well enough and realistically no one will ever notice the slight size difference. These screws paired perfectly with Home Depot's "Door Reinforcement Lock, 3 in. Stop, Aluminum Construction, Bronze Anodizede Finish" (Internet #205622339 Model #U 11126) (see image), but note that this door blocker is also designed for smaller screws so take care to align the screws well into the holes.

Nice screws
After reading other reviews about these being cheap and stripping the head, all I have to say is don't use a power drill like a gorilla and pre-drill. I had zero problems with the bit slipping out possibly stripping the head. They performed as well as any decent screw I've used. Nice oil rubbed bronze to match the rest of my door hardware. These were used to replace the short screws in the door hinge driving them into the rough-in framing for extra support and security. I would recommend these.

These work!
Replaced the 3/4" long hinge screws in my front door with these. High quality. Good color match to my black hinges. Replaced the latch and striker plate screws with Spax 3-1/4 #9 screws. Much better security! Kick proof!Pro tip: pre drill holes with a 9/32" dia. drill. Also use wax on the screw threads before driving them in.You can actually feel the difference operating the door!

Head Strip very easily
Product shipped on time, however the screw head stripped out going through 2x4s. I purchased these with the intent to use 6 of them on a door. Before I used them on the door I did a test run on them putting together some 2x4's. About 2 inches in about half of them would strip out.I was using a standard Black and Decker Drill with a Makita Bit and the heads just stripped out. When I get a chance I will send some of the screws back to the MFG. Very disappointed in the product.

High Quality screws. Philips screws can strip, but mined did not.
I had no issues with stripping the heads. High quality screws. I used a hammer drill driver (DeWalt) with plenty of force behind it. I drove in the top hinge of my sticking doors. Worked like a charm to attach the hinges to the home door frame, not the jamb. This pulled the top of the door (where it closes) away from the jamb preventing problematic sticking.

Worked great for my door.
Others were complaining of stripping the heads out. I had no trouble even without pilot holes.Know your tools, and use a good bit, and you probably won't have any issues. The color was not quite the color of the screws I removed, but the difference is not noticeable at a glance.

Described as designed for hinge screws. The heads are too small.
I ordered these screws along with door hinges. It was great to discover I could purchase longer screws that matched the finish of the hinges. These screws are supposed to be for door hinges. The heads are way too small.

Fix for a stubborn door
After weeks struggling with putting a new door in these screws finally did the trick. They are long enough to get well beyond the standard hole on a door frame and for me that was the key to success. Good luck, doors are hell.
