I wish I had read this book before our band went ahead and made just about every mistake TCB describes. We get gigs and people say we are good, but after seven years of trying to make this our living, we are right where we started out. Our focus has always been on the music, because that is what we enjoy. But we complain about not "getting ahead" as a business. Without a plan and the knowledge to build our business, we have continued to make the same mistakes. I'm sharing TCB with our band members and we will use it as a guide to moving forward. Glad I found it.

Bear shares his decades of experience as a working musician in this book. Bands form, eventually they break up. This book will help you to avoid costly mistakes in the meantime. If you don't take care of this stuff, someone will take care of it for you, and not necessarily the way you would like. Whether you are a weekend warrior, a seasoned gigger, or just thinking of working in the music biz, there is plenty of practical advice...now I am going to read it again~
