Used with cheap ultrasonic cleaner for clock parts and jewellery and it works well and not overpowering odours either.

Very effective cleaner for various small parts, brass really comes up beautifully, certainly in an ultrasonic bath.

This definitely softens the dirt and brings the brass back to its shiny original state. May require using metal bristle brushes to help with the shine.
