Just an envelope, people.
You slide your cc cards into the slot and the book says an RFID scanner can’t read the numbers. Don’t know how you would know so if an MIT grad is reading this let us in on the secret.Of course they tear. Take it easy and they should last until you get home from that trip to the Big Apple or worse, Chicago.

Safety while traveling
I have used these little envelopes for my credit cards for years. I needed new ones in advance of a trip to Asia, so I found these on Amazon. I didn't need a large amount, so I selected the product by the price and the number of envelopes in the order. I have just started using them, so they are still a bit stiff, and getting the card in and out can take some time. But they appear to be durable and up to the task. I thought I ordered white sleeves, but I received blue ones. I had to mark each one with the last digits of my cards, so I could distinguish among them in my wallet. I expect I will have these for yeats, with steady usage. Good purchase.

Protection from Scanners
I've only started using 1 sleeve for my Visa so that I can carry it in my trouser pocket and feel secure. I plan on putting one in the front of a multiple card holder and one aint the back. The only card info stolen has been from my Visa. I'll give some away. Protectors, that is!

Check Wallet Compartments for Product Suitability
I can't speak to effectiveness of RFID shielding - other reviews have addressed this. The dimensions of the sleeves almost exactly match the length of a typical credit card, however they are approximately 1/8" (3.2 mm) wider than the typical credit card. The material is thin, but is semi-rigid (unlike fabric 'card gloves'). Therefore, if your credit cards fit tightly into the width of slots in your wallet (like mine), these sleeves will not fit. The length is good and they will fit into a space such as the photo compartment in the middle of a typical tri-fold wallet. Although the material is thin, they will add a little bulk, which is to be expected. Summary: You may need to shop for a specific type of wallet to make these work.

Hopefully the sleeve works!
I had no problem getting my card into the sleeve. The males in my home that I have given a sleeve to have all stated that it is hard for them to get the card in the sleeve and that the card doesn't fit in their wallets well with the sleeve on. I am not having the same issues.

They Seem Fine
I was contacted by the seller and asked to review, so I am. What can I say? They're RF blocking sleeves for your credit cards. Do they work? How would I know? The blue is an attractive color and you need a bit of additional room in your wallet to accommodate the additional thickness the sleeves add.
