SQL Pocket Guide: A Guide to SQL Usage 3rd Edition

This is an outstanding quick reference. This purchase is actually my second copy; I leave one at the office and found it useful enough that I bought a second copy for some analysis work I was doing at home. That's not to say I couldn't find everything online readily, I just like the lay out and format.Be aware by itself this is not a good intro book for SQL. But it's a great reference to keep with you while you're learning (at least I found it so as somebody who is not a DBA, but works with databases on a near-daily basis). And you can't go wrong for the cost

Nearly all of this syntax is correct for MS SQL2016. This book was published a while ago but it is a great resource for looking up syntax quickly. I would recommend this to anyone who works with or is trying to learn new SQL syntax.

I'm not a SQL novice and teach a class at a college level however there are those rare commands that I don't use often and need a reference. This is literally in arms length at work for those exact times. In fact, so useful that this copy was purchased for home use.

If you are one that uses SQL a lot then you will most likely not need much help but when you do it is a great tool to have handy. Just that little reminder or command that just happened to slip the mind when you have one of those senior moments. Awesome guide.

I have 2 of these - One at work and one at homeYou really don't need anything else. After understanding the concepts of SQL, this little book is all you need as a language reference.

Quick little reference book for both Microsoft and oracle sql

For the past twenty years, I had been generating SQL queries using Access's query-by-example grid. Recently, I found myself needing to write the SQL directly, and this book lived up to its title. It's not an instruction manual. It's a short reference book, and an excellent one.

The information in the book is excellent. However, the print in the book is at an angle, appears to be from a defective run.
