I bought this pair of Lightning cables just 2 months ago, and both are already broken. The first cable stopped working completely out of nowhere, with no warning signs and no visible physical damage whatsoever. I moved on to the second cable in the pack, which lasted just 5 days before it started to melt! I was in bed using my phone while it was charging, when it suddenly stopped. I checked the cable and immediately burned my finger on the heat coming off it. On closer inspection, the Lightning connector at the phone end had melted. Not only is that cable now destroyed, but my phone no longer charges properly, with me resorting to using wireless charging for the time being. I dread to think what could have happened had I not noticed in time. If I had been asleep, or simply not been present to unplug it, this could have caused a serious fire.
