These Reyes gloves are the creme de la creme of boxing gloves! The quality is apparent from your first glance, and it gets better and better the more you try them! The fit is the best of any gloves I have ever owned. I have been buying and using boxing gloves for about forty+ years. I have bought and used examples of every major (and some minor) manufacturers over the years. I have seen the products of once-proud American manufacturers turn into nothing but pathetic junk after moving their facilities overseas in the interest of their bottom line. The products were the same in name only. Sad, very sad.Reyes gloves appear to have not changed anything apparently at any point in their history. Quality is clearly job one with them. They are made for fighters and they are made to be used!These gloves are made with the additional padding (which is much appreciated by we older people with arthritis). They are suitable for heavy bag work, and for sparring.They cost more, but they are the living proof of the old adage, "you get what you pay for". These gloves will last your lifetime, provide the extra protection your hands need (even when you are younger and don't know you need it yet), and will hold up to massive heavy bag workouts. I am ordering another pair just to keep in case the price ever goes up! I'll probably end up passing them (unopened) to my heirs. But, I don't care!If you are a puncher and spend anytime on heavy bag work, do yourself a favor. Spend the extra few dollars and get yourself a pair of these. They are primo! You will not regret it!

I have a pair of lace-ups and they are great, but the padding in the knuckles isn't too forgiving when you're sparring. Plus they are hard to put on without assistance because they're lace-ups.So I got the extra paddings which are easy to put on and have more forgiving padding. The padding--no matter how thick, is still Cleto Reyes--which is to say it's firm and not squishy. A sparring partner still might not appreciate the density of the foam. They take a few sessions to break in, but that means they are going to last a while. My experience is if a glove is cushy right out of the box, it means it doesn't have much support or structure. It's like hiking boots.The first pair of these i ordered did have bad stitching inside one of the gloves, but they were exchanged no problem.I recommend them.

I ordered 14oz bag gloves with extra padding and they're very tight I weigh 170 lbs and I always work out with 14 oz gloves and never had a issue like this. I'm ho[omg that the leather will expand and loosen up.RIght now they're uncomfortable .
