My son has tight small curls/coils and this shampoo helped his hair greatly. We also use the detangler from the same brand. Does wonders for his hair!

This Cantu shampoo is the best one I have found for my little princess, who has fine curly Hair, prone to tangles.I have tried at least 6-7 brands for her but Cantu has stopped me from searching for more. This is my 2nd bottle. In fact, my 8yr old son's hair are straight and I use same Cantu shampoo for him too and still highly satisfied.Hair don't feel dry or lifeless. It leaves them well moisturized and soft and smooth.It's not expensive, so try once and I am sure you will be happy with the results 👍

I'm not a kid, but as someone with a big head of wavy hair, I was pretty excited to try this product for hydration purposes. My hair is fine-medium texture. Cantu doesn't lather much, which is usually a sign that the chemicals have been kept to a minimum. While I love that, at the same token, it just wasn't enough to get my scalp squeaky-clean (which is probably perfect for kid-intended use as that means it is quite gentle) The caveat was that the ends of my hair got perfect hydration, but the root and scalp were left a bit greasy. I would use this again, but perhaps in place of a lightweight conditioner.

Just tried this on my own "slightly" wavy hair, just to experiment. What stood out first of all was the aroma. Kids will be drawn to the bubble-gummy scent, and will want to wash their hair all the time! But, for me, the product was inexpensive, and definitely moisturizing on my own naturally oily hair. I use Neutrogena dandruff shampoo on a regular basis, which is why I cannot give it a 5-star on all points. Scent, yes; cost, yes, moisurizing properties, yes. But not for all hair types, as the product page specifies. For kids who have naturally dry and wavy/curly hair, this shampoo is perfect.

I purchased this for my 2 year old son. So far so good. Makes a great sudsy wash. Leaves hair feeling clean and smells great too! I also purchased the conditioner and detangler. I was using Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus products in his hair, but I didn't like that the shampoo didn't create a good sudsy wash and the hair cream eventually started leaving his hair feeling hard and with residue buildup. So far, (Used two times so far) Cantu has made my sons hair more manageable, smells great and I haven't noticed much buildup. I keep his hair in braids and plan on letting it keep growing, so it's important to have something that keeps his hair clean, soft and manageable. He is non-mixed African American.

I think my 3 year old has gorgeous, loose curls, but I noticed that the kids/baby shampoo I was using was making them lose their definition. I searched all over for a curly hair, tear free shampoo and this was the only one I could find. I will admit I hesitated to get it because I thought it might be too heavy for her hair, but I took a chance and use it about twice a week with the conditioner every other time I do, and it's been working great! It smells amazing and doesn't bother her eyes, can't ask for much else. Will definitely be repurchasing.
