Review for 2016 f150
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Took a little while to ship but worked perfect for my 2016 f150. Have only drove it once since installing but apple CarPlay worked perfect once installed and I updated my sync 3 1.0 version to the 3.0 version using the ford update on their website and a usb flash drive. Would recommend as it updated truck significantly with addition of CarPlay.

2016 Ford Expedition EL now with Carplay & Android Auto!!!
That was easy!!!! No factory carplay / android auto on 2016 Ford Expedition EL. Using CyanLabs I first updated my radio from sync 3 version 1 to Sync 3 version 3.4 using a USB stick. Carefully popped out the original (non-carplay) hub without scratching anything and put this in, in less than 5 minutes. I instantly have (wired) Android Auto and it works extremely well. This hub was the same physical size as the one that came out. Very happy to have AA and carplay in the 2016 expedition now.

It works!
This item worked perfectly for my 2016 F150 XLT Sport. I am now able to have CarPlay on my Sync 3 system. Installation was super easy and took less than 5 minutes. Some people have struggled with removing the old part but I recommend getting one of the cheap plastic automotive trim removal kits. I had mine removed in less than a minute. Definitely a great upgrade for the money.

Part fit 2016 Ford F-150. Online said no fit. Was planning on 2025Re
awesome. 3 minute install. Getting old usb out was difficult to get out I eventually got it. But it was in the slot pretty hard. Took alot of my energy. All good. CarPlay worked immediately. The sync 3 update was fun. Just left my phone in my truck for 3 hours. Came back. It downloaded. Sync 3 3.0 our edition we needed.Just sleep

apple carplay on your 2016 F150
The unit worked great and I now have apple carplay in my 2016 F150 The only issue was to make sure you use a true apple data cable to connect your iPhone.

Great Product to get CarPlay!!
This ABSOLUTELY FITS A 2016 Ford Escape! 10 minute job, now my rig has Apple CarPlay! Just an FYI the phone must be plugged in to the USB port for CarPlay to work.

2016 Ford Edge compatible
I ordered for my 2016 Ford Edge despite Amazon showing it wasn’t compatible with my car. I had read some other reviews that seemed promising. Installation was so easy! Now my car is Apple CarPlay compatible and I’m a happy girl.
