Great Backpack - Can't Beat the Value!
I spend a ton of time in the field for my job; crawling through brush and briars can do a number on gear. I was in the market for a new backpack after my old Camelbak bag finally bit the dust; bladder was still functional but the fabric on the shoulder straps and rear of the bag was literally falling apart. The first requirement for my replacement bag was that it had to be durable; multiflora rose has a tendency to shred things (be it skin, shirts, or backpacks...). Additionally, the bag had to be able to comfortably hold my field gear, reference material, first aid kit, parka, food, and water without being too bulky or cumbersome. This bag definitely hits the mark on both requirements. It was immediately clear upon receiving it from UPS (very responsive and fast shipping from LA Police Gear, by the way) that the fabric used in this bag was built to last; very sturdy and rigid, with double stitching in critical locations. Zippers are also beefy. As far as organization goes, I really appreciate the layout of the smaller pouches in the front and top of the pack; perfect for things that need to be quickly or frequently accessed (I have extra flagging, sunscreen, DEET, and writing utensils here). The main pocket is very roomy; don't have my parka stored away in the photos but it definitely fits like a glove in there with my other belongings. The rear pouch is perfect for the re purposed Camelbak H20 bladder, a small slot in the top of the pocket allows the tubing to be routed into the backpack's main chamber and one out the holes that are disguised with Velcro covers adjacent to the handle. The shoulder straps are very comfortable. I plan to add a Condor MOLLE pouch to the rear of the pack to store a notebook and additional pens/pencils.All in all, this is one heck of a backpack for the price.

Solid backpack
As always, lapg didn't let me down. I now have 2 72 hour, 1 24 hour, and 2 12 hour atlas bags. They are all excellent.

Overall build quality and price
I've had this pack little over 6 months, and I carry it every single day and every where I go. This pack is hands down the best pack I've ever owned and would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a good pack to carry on person every day. I got it filled up and able to carry probably way more than I need lol. The overall build quality for the price is unmatched. To me it's quality is that of or better in some circumstances than most of the big brand names pack and the best part it's almost half the price. Can't recommend enough.

Worth the price tag
Good starting go bag, or as a secondary bag. Has a lot of space and compartments.

New plastic zipper pulls and interior materials
I've owned an Altas 12 for 5 years and I'm so in love with it I bought a second after the main compartment zipper blew out. It's the perfect size for an every day backpack. Holds all my stuff plus a large half gallon water bottle and large coat without bursting at the seams. The plate carrier pouch on the back fits my old XPS 15 perfectly too. It's been across the country by car and by plane. It's been slouged through the rain, dirt, and mud, and I've even run over it with my car. This bag was pretty damn tough for $90. That said, my new copy of the bag has new plastic HHH zipper pulls while the old one had metal YKK pulls. It also has a looser mesh and a coarser nylon on the interior pockets. The seams, buckles and materials have stayed the same and the elastic seems stronger than on the old bag. I'm interested to see if the new bag holds up like the old one did. Hoping for 6 years this time. Here's to hoping.

Well built bag.
This bag doesn't cost much so I was pleasantly surprised at his sturdy it feels. The laser cut molle is useful but slightly more low key that regular. I use this as my car bag and for short hikes and I am very happy with it. Now I want a 72hour. I will say that the buckles for the waste belt make me have to wear the bag a little lower than I usually like. If I lift it where I usually do the buckles rub my sides. That's more of an observation than a complaint though because it is pretty comfortable in the position it requires.

I was not disappointed when I received this backpack
I owned the rush 12 backpack by 511 but it got stolen. So I decided to not buy back the 511 rush 12 and decided to check this bag out because it is almost identical in design to the rush 12. I was not disappointed when I received this backpack, the lazer cut MOLLE is nice, if 511 wants to upgrade the rush 12 design I think they should go for the lazer cut MOLLE.The Atlas 12 feels very sturdy and the 900D fabric is very tough. The only thing I didn't like about this bag is that the buckles don't seem to be the highest quality but maybe I'm just used to the Rush 12 but all in all this is a great backpack and I will recommend it to anyone.

Best durable and reliable backpack you will ever buy!
Im on my third one only because my first one got stolen and now have one Everday pack and another for outdoor adventures. You will not be disappointed. Better value and better design than the 511 packs.
