These are perfect. I will be buying more. I've used many different hair sticks from metal to Wood but these are the most comfortable. My hair is to my knees and hard to keep up without having a headache at the end of the night. I work in emergency veterinary medicine and run all night and I'm hoping these are strong enough for my 12 hour shift. I'll update with pictures. ***Update*** 14 hours later. 3 STAT triages, running all night! Stayed in place all night!!! Love it! No headache either!!!

Pros: they do hold my hair well, they are sturdy.Cons:1. false advertising. These are clearly 100% plastic. Wood would weigh less, which would be better for my hair, plastic is a bit heavier.I would not have paid $10 for these had I known they were plastic.2 the butterfly wing on both sticks are pointing in one direction: they are not a pair. You can see in the picture. I wish I could just flip one over but due to the curvature of the stick you can not.

I really love these products… These are the second set of hair sticks I have purchased. I love that the two sticks that arrived were very different… I only use one at a time so I like that one stick’s color leans more black and gray and the other one leaves more golden and Amber. Maybe if you want to use them at the same time you want them to look more similar… But for me this is just ideal! I can change them depending on my outfit. The quality is really outstanding… The only thing I would say is the point can sometimes be a bit sharp and might pull on your hair as you push it through the bun…But if you take your time it shouldn’t damage your hair at all. I am also considering taking sandpaper to the tips just to soften the point a little bit… But I’m nitpicking. I believe I purchased similar design of hair stick from this company and they were wooden. Those were more rounded than the buffalo horn, but I did not get variation in shade with those. I’m so pleased I purchased these! For the price…the style and quality is above and beyond! I will return to this seller if and when I need more of these…To be honest these are so sturdy and well-made I doubt I will need to order more, though I do have a tendency to missplace them…in which case I’ll order more from this seller :)

These are absolutely beautiful! They come in a lovely box with a ribbon and would be great tucked into a gift. I have no way to test them to see if they are real buffalo horn, but I believe they are, and the company clearly states that they are. They appear hand-made to me. There are minor irregularities that make me believe these are truly natural material. I ordered the "black" - and they are both dark, but one has a beautiful bit of variation as you can see. They are lightweight, and I hope if I treat them kindly, they will last a long time! I have very long, fine/silky textured but quite thick hair, and these hold comfortably without sliding out or pulling. They are exactly what I wanted, and the antler shape is so adorable! Love them!!!

These hair sticks turned out to be just the thing I was trying to find -- a good length and weight for my very fine hair, attractive, and very nicely made. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because one of the two sticks I received was unusable -- it had a very fine crack or split (something that is, I think, a risk of this particular kind of material) that made it snag on my hair rather badly. The other stick, however, is perfect (and since I usually only need one at a time to secure my hair, one broken stick isn't the end of the world). I've ordered another pair, in the hope that I'll have better luck this time. :)

Buy THESE! So pretty, and really easy to use. They don't catch on my extra long hair, and don't scratch my head when I insert them. I've bought more for me, and give them as adored gifts to those that admire them in my lovely hair.They are well made, and so joy inspiring.My heavy hair snaps plastic sticks, but not these handcrafted beauties!

I was very pleased with these hair sticks. They feel good quality and weight and do exactly what I needed them to do (even with my fine very long hair). I do wish the ones I recieved had more color in them (they are mostly solid black), but I know its just luck of the chance of what colors you get since it's made from bone and not plastic where they can make them all look the same. Overall, would buy them again if I could get a more colorful set!

I was nervous spending the "extra" on a set of horn hair sticks instead of the normal wooden ones that I use. I was nervous because I break the wooden sticks almost constantly and I was concerned about the durability of these in comparison to the cost. I have been using hair sticks for years and have the most incredibly thick hair. Normally a blessing but I can really feel the weight of this one, if you know what I mean.I have had these stick for a few weeks now. One thing that was upsetting to me is that the very ends of the sticks were blunted. This wouldn't be an issue except for two things. When putting it into my hair it scraped across my scalp and also caught on strands of hair since it wasn't gently rounded off. Even dealing with this I would still give the sticks a 3 star because of their durability and how pretty they are.Ultimately I chose to give them 4 stars because the main issue that i had with them (the blunted tip) was incredibly easy to fix! I just took one of my nail files to them and was able to get it smoothed and a bit rounded in just a few minutes. Certainly worth the money!
