Batman Arkham City Score Is Epic
Im a huge Batman fan as I remember watching the animated series which started it all but it wasnt until I discovered Danny Elfman's music for Batman 1989 which again sparked my interest into the musical world of Batman . As for the Nolan series of Batman films I greatly appreciate what Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard have done for the soundtracks of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight a classic in my book .Now since the release of Arkham Asylum the game has gained overwhelmingly positive reviews due to the delciously atmospheric graphics gameplay and storyline its ashame the score didnt get a realese date but thanks to the buzz surrounding Batman arkham city composers Nick Arundel and Ron Fish were given the oppertunity to release the score .This second outting the music is more mysterious action packed and is a real pleasure to be heard through some good quaility headphones my favorite track is its not even breakfast even when Im not playing the game I can still amagine the Joker's painful and agonizing end to his reign of choas what a way to end a legacy the choir towards the end of the track is just amazing as they sing saddening mournful notes very emotional scene leaving you guessing as to what Batman is feeling what a way to end the game the score plays as if it were intented for a movie .Soundtracks that are based on video games dont get the proper reconition that they deserve its very seldom that game soundtracks get released scores like God Of War Gears Of War 3 Crysis 2 and The Halo Series few soundtracks like these have only seen the light of day with all the hype that surrounds the caped crusader I hope that its enough to finally launch these wonderful composers Nick Arundel And Ron Fish into the film Industry .Hans Zimmer may bring closure to the Nolon Batman Trilogy for good but for future reference I think Nick Arundel and Ron fish should one day score a feature Batman film Batman Arkham City only adds to the aready legendary musical history of its predecessors and is well worth the purchase .

You will feel like Batman just for listening to this
I have a confession to make. My tastes in music are, in a word, incomprehensible. I like music of so different and sometimes so clashing styles that you might very well assume some mental deficiency on my part just for taking a look at my track list on my music player, either on my PC or cellphone. That being said, I haven't found one person who has listened to the music of this spectacular game and hadn't at the very least liked it, which means I can safely say without creating weird looks that this soundtrack is FANTASTIC. This is the musical equivalent of the word "epic". Scratch that, this is the musical equivalent of the word "Batman".Throughout the game, you will feel inmersed by everything around you: the story, the graphics, the sound effects, but overall, the music. The music will make you feel you are Batman even if you're filing taxes. That's how powerful it is. You will realize this music is about Batman even if you've never played the game.Of particular note are "Arkham City Main Theme", in which there's a point in which you'll find very difficult not to stand up ominously and loom with a scowl and a gruff look over the people in the same room, generating puzzled looks from everyone who's not listening to it, and "You Should Do As He Says", which WILL make you imagine yourself and maybe pantomime taking down an entire room full of armed criminals, possibly an entire building.Seriously, get this soundtrack. But try to avoid listening to it with earplugs in a room full of unprepared people.

Feels like its more of a movie
It was really because of playing the game and noticing the main theme that drew me into wanting to get this soundtrack. Just like a movie, a game's soundtrack and really make or break your gameplay experience along with everything else. Saying that, I think Nick Arundel and Ron Fish did a great job following up on Arkham Asylum's soundtrack with this. Listening to it, you get such a great feel from the sources he's pulled from for inspiration for this great game. There are not only elements of music from the newer movies with Christian Bale, but some elements from the earlier movies as well, especially the ones Tim Burton directed. Thankfully, nothing on this album will have any elements that may remind you of the two nightmares that was Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.

Great!
Very good music from the game. Atmospheric, it really captures the feel of Batman. The music is good for it's specific purpose (as used in the game) but also for evoking a general vibe for the dark knight detective.

Feels like Batman
This album contains some amazing video game music. I've listened to these songs over and over again while playing challenge maps, and I'm just amazed at how much the music resonates with the feeling that I could be Batman. It may sound silly, but that's what the music should do, draw you in and make you feel as much a part of the universe as the character you're playing as. As phenomenal as this game is, it would definitely be incomplete without the right music. And nothing screams Batman more than epic strings, thundering timpanis, and dramatic dynamic shifts. If you loved the game or are passionate about video games music and still contemplating buying this album, stop thinking about it and do it. You will NOT be disappointed.

A most fantastic video game score !!
Batman: Arkham City the original video game score is brilliant! The game was awesome and clearly a masterpiece of a game. The video game score was perfect for every moment of the story. With this video game score, I can go back the the incredible story from Rocksteady's video game whenever I listen to it, for example while driving my car. It is totally epic! If you like Batman and his dark universe, you will like Arkham City's musical score.
