Good Paddle, but for the price . . .
I am just an experienced recreational table tennis player, not a pro or anything. I found that this paddle works well and, as another reviewer said, it makes a satisfying "thock" when you hit the ball just right. Beware, though, it is the heaviest paddle I have ever used and that took me some time to adjust to. Overall quality was good on the paddle, but the case was just so-so and the all the accompanying literature was in Chinese. If I had it to do over again, I would probably choose another paddle for less money.

Duped?
I was excited to get this paddle. It did not come as pictured. It came in oversized ill fitting case. The two balls seemed used and we're just stuffed in.

Among the best pre-assembled rackets
This racket is not the kind of thing that makes you worry about price or delivery times or anything like that. When you get this racket, you will realize, what a gift you have just been given. I was especially pleased to see that I had the Hurricane III red rubber on my racket instead of the Hurricane II. I didn't expect that, or ask for that. It's just what I got.Now if you are used to buying your own blades and then getting the best new rubber and assembling your racket, then I will sound like a noob to you, and I suppose I may be a noob compared to a pro. But I've played with a lot of the upper range of stiga and recently killerspin 600, 700 models, and the DHS is clearly in another league. it's so different it is shocking. the rubber is so tacky I can easily lift a ball from the table to over my head just by touching the racket to the top of the ball and lifting straight up.The other big thing I noticed is it is the amount of bounce off the racket when not hitting the ball, just letting the ball hit the racket. The first time I bounced the ball on my racket with the DHS racket, I thought the ball was broken, it felt so dead, so bounceless. Of course, I think this is what would be called "control" and it is fantastic. After only a few games I could see how much easier this was to play with when hitting with a lot of spin. I was landing a ton more of my looping shots, this let me try to put even more spin on them without worrying so much about overshooting the table.Just to sum up I'll paraphrase another reviewer who said it best. This is arguably the best racket you can buy without having to glue on the rubbers yourself.

Poor quality product; rotten customer service.
I bought this paddle for my son who plays on the varsity ping pong team at college. Three weeks and one tournament later, a small crack appeared on the side of the paddle. The crack grew as the laminate surfaces glued together split. This formed a bubble under the padding material. This is clearly a defect in the manufacturing process. The paddle is now unusable.I contacted the seller to ask for a replacement. They denied the return because "more than 15 days had passed." They were not interested to learn that the problem did not appear until three weeks after use. I expected more from a $100 paddle. And I expect more from the seller, especially in today's world where customer service is so important.I did a lot of research on paddles before I purchased the Hurricane. My expectation was that the higher price would equate to a better quality paddle and a better user experience. The opposite was true. Do not buy this product, and do not buy anything from this seller. The 15-day return policy, especially when due to a product defect, is out of touch in today's world. For the $100 I spent, I would have been better off buying two lesser-expensive paddles from another vendor. If you are looking for a good quality ping pong paddle, keep looking. It's not the Hurricane.

Great Paddle/Racket
My play style is primarily extreme power in the spin, and speed without the power.I have been using this paddle for about 3 months now. I used to train seriously with a former Ping Pong Champion from China about 16 years ago. I thought I would NEVER get my skills back, nor would I ever get the great customized paddle I had back then. I'd say for a factory setting made paddle, this is as good as it gets without customization. If you're looking for a better paddle, then you should customize it. If you're not so savvy with paddles and just know how to play, this is a great paddle for you. I had a customize paddle 16 years ago, and this comes "CLOSE".Some people say the power is too much and it's hard to control, but I think that's mostly technique because I don't have a hard time keeping the ball in on the table unless I am doing something stupid.I recommend this paddle, and I am about to buy one more as a back up.I think the only downside I have to this paddle is, it makes you want to go all out... and not that many people I know can go more than 5 top spin returns back and forth without someone making a mistake. It is a competitive paddle, hard to just rally and be happy with that.~~~~Also, on a side note, ATAFA was very helpful with my shipment. The shipper LOST the shipment, and ATAFA not only found out before I did, but they took the initiative to send out a completely new shipment free of charge on priority UPS at their own expense to make up for the delayed shipment, before I even e-mailed them to ask where my paddles were.

Great paddle for the high-intermediate wicked-spin player
I am a very aggressive spin player (I don't slam much, but I absolutely torque the crap out of the ball as often as I can) and the extreme tackiness helps me to send the ball flying off my opponents' paddles. One comment I read here is that it loses its tackiness; it won't if you take care of it. I've played hundreds of games since getting mine, and I bought cheap little sponges to wipe it off as per the directions after every game, and it will *still* lift a ping-pong ball over a foot off the table! (put the ball on the table, and the black side of the paddle on the TOP of the ball and lift the paddle straight up; the ball will go 1-2' in the air every time after a cleaning).Downside? MAN did this thing arrive smelling like fish! The box smelled like fish, the case smelled like fish, and the paddle smelled like fish. It literally took a month for the smell to go away, but it was worth it! I had read this same thing in another review, so you can count on it...

good product but with wrong paddle image.
If you need to order this paddle for a pen-hold, be careful, the image for the product is a pen hold but actually, it's shake hand one.The seller needs to correct this.
