Finally a remote that works!!!!!!! For Westinghouse Amazon fire tv thank god i literally bought 5other remotes and none would connect or work!!!!! This one was so easy n im happy with it

While the feel of the remote is lighter than preferred, it actually works with my Westinghouse 1st gen Amazon FireTV which is a GOOD THING since it's hard to find a remote to work with this tv. No voice-responsive but at least I can use my tv. (My original remote was lost during a recent move.)

We did not have the original remote for our TV and I had to use a downloaded app. We switched our Wi-Fi carrier and we could not reconnect to the TV without the original Wi-Fi carrier which we no longer had. This remote came ready to be used just had to pop in two batteries and it allowed me to connect to the new Wi-Fi in seconds and now we have a working remote for everything else! Before you go spend $40+ on an original remote, gives this universal remote a try! It’s a simple option, but works for all the necessary every day uses.

Since I couldn't find the exact replacement remote for this TV that didn't cost under $200 (there's only a few out there apparently), I was relieved to find this one, otherwise the TV was pretty much useless and it's less than two years old. All I had to do was add batteries and point the remote and it works great! It is missing a couple functions however. First, it doesn't have the Alexa voice capability and second the button with the 3 dashes is missing. The 3 dash button is the one we use the most, especially for apps like Hulu when you want to go to a programs details page to scroll through episodes and such. We were able to figure out a work around however. Also, there's an HBONow button on this remote, but when you press it, it takes you to Amazon Music. No biggie though as we can still access all apps from the Home screen. Although it's not exaclty like the original remote, it functions 95% the same and was the solution to our remote problem. Will never buy this brand TV again because the company made shoddy remotes and then didn't keep any in stock to send customers when the one that came with the TV malfunctioned. That said, until we upgrade the TV, this remote works GREAT!
