This is a fantastic supplement. White Willow is the original source of salicylic acid (a strongly anti-inflammatory and analgesic compound), which is the forerunner of aspirin. Unlike aspirin, salicylic acid doesn't thin the blood, and any problems it might cause within the digestive tract are likely to be very minor. White willow bark helps relieve joint pain and manage fevers. Cramp bark is a good herb to mix with white willow for muscle pain relief.

I purchased the Pure White Willow Bark powder to help with frequent Migraines I experience. During my grandmothers birthday celebration (she is in her 70s) I eagerly asked everyone in the room if they were experiencing any pain, as I was so eager to test its effectiveness. My Grandmother had nerve damage at the time, due to a fall she had a year prior. My Grandfather had hip pain. My Aunt had pain in her feet and my Mother has stiffness in her joints due to playing tennis. We prepared some tea (green tea) with each cups dosage at 1/2 tsp. My Aunt was the first to experience relief. She gave me a big hug & said thank you. My Mother has been using it since and says she hasn't felt much stiffness since she been taking it and is happy to not have to take OTC pain relievers. My Grandfather requested a link to purchase it. Now my Grandmother honestly didn't enjoy the taste of the tea and I am not sure if it worked well for her as she didn't offer much feedback. Which reminds me, the taste is dreadful, so if you can't pallet strong bitterness, I suggest making capsules. But aside from that it is really worth trying it out for yourself. I will update this post when I am able to test it out on the nasty dreadful migraine. In case you are wondering about dosage recommendations as I was when purchasing, the package says 1/8 tsp is 407 mg, 1/4 tsp is 814 mg, 1/2 tsp is 1629 mg. Also the package says this product is free of sugar, soy, dairy, yeast, gluten, & additives which is terrific for those of us who enjoy natural products. Shipping was extremely fast (next day delivery), though I do have Amazon Prime. Customer Service is great too. The company responded to my email quickly & was pleasant to speak to.

I received this product a few days ago to use for my 15 year old daughter who has some teenage acne. A friend told us about willow bark, and since I try to use natural products without additives such as parabens, this product intrigued me. After using it the first night my daughter's face was markedly clearer the next day. She does not have terrible acne or cystic acne, just lots of pimples on her forehead and chin. After skipping a day to ensure she did not have a bad reaction from overuse, she used it again last night and was able to go to school without face makeup today for the first time in a long time. Her face was truly glowing! Now for me, I am over 50 and needed a good exfoliator to help with my dry dull skin. I used the white willow bark twice already and it worked better than any of the expensive products I have been purchasing! My face looks so much better I cannot believe it. Couple of notes: the powder is very light and you can get some in your mouth if you keep your face close to the bag when you close it up and while it can be taken orally it is pretty bitter so keep your face away from the bag and avoid getting it into your mouth unless you intend to take it that way. It seems very thin when mixed with water but spreads easily on your face and rinses off easily. Also seems like it might stain clothes so would caution against getting it on anything you particularly like. Great product that we are very happy to have found!

In my opinion, does little to nothing for my inflammation at suggested dosage. I increased the dosage to equal the WWB in 6 NOW Brand WWB extract caps (about 3/4 teaspoon) , then I began to experience inflammation reduction. This WWB takes about 3 hrs to notice. The best thing I have found for higher level inflammation and its reduction is Bayer Back and Body (500 mg asprin ) at the suggested dosage of 2 X 500 mg tablets. I checked with my doc and he said asprin is OK daily as long as I have no sign of gastro issues. And, asprin often best taken with full meals. Asprin works faster at relieving the inflammation. I will continue to use this WWB until I run out then I will buy some 25% salicin WWB here on Amazon - (not made in China) to experiment with. Check with your Medical professional.

This seems to work like Tylenol would, but you will have to put this horrid tasting powder in capsules. I can’t imagine it will be easy to do and not get the powder on the outside of the capsule, which means you will still taste this potent nasty metal chemical tasting ick! I can swallow ALOT of gnarly herbs...I have been tossing and washing herbs down for years, but I draw the line with this one. Wow. No fault of Bulk Supplements ...just the nature of this herb!
