Overall Rating: 4.25 Rockin’ ★★★★The Reaping is an ancient, forbidden hunt and someone has started it again. In book one, Forbidden Hunger we are introduced to the Foster Pack of Lee County. This is the first book in Teresa Gabelman’s new series, Lee County Wolves. It delves into good vs. evil and those that would fight and defeat it. Janna and Garrett are fated, true mates and this is their story. Her dying mother’s last request was for Janna Lawson to find her father and tell him that she died loving him. That she never betrayed his secret. Janna is a hybrid and knows nothing about being a shifter. She needs answers and a safe place for herself and the young ones she is looking after. Is the man she is looking for part of this pack? Will the Foster Pack take them in and protect them or will she have to continue running? The way Garrett Foster is looking at her and the way her wolf is reacting to him, maybe he will let them stay.He is the alpha and protector of his pack. So when an unknown woman enters his territory with a teen and a young child, he goes into full alpha mode. What pack do they belong to and why does her wolf call to his? His gut is telling him trouble is headed towards his pack and this woman is his! Garrett has never had a problem attracting females, but now he knows why he never kept one of them. This is an action filled story with humor, sizzling sexual attraction and mysteries that must be solved. Great storyline development and creative approach to shifters and the world they live in. Characters are fashioned in a way that they will entrench themselves into the readers thoughts and remain after the book is finished.Hero: Garrett Foster 4.25 starsHeroine: Janna Lawson 4.25 starsSteam: 4.25 starsPlot: 4.25 starsCliffhanger: No

After reading this book I was feeling a bit let down and disappointed.
2.5 Stars at most.I really hate comparing other books authors have written. But after reading the VC warriors and then switching to this book to learn more about the wolves, I just felt disappointed. Not because it doesn't compare to others but the speed of the story and how everything just felt thrown together. If you read the synopsis of this book, you literally have read the entire book. I hope the other books that follow up with this series aren't so rushed and have more of story line to them.

Entertaining
Janna Lawson hobbles into town with two young people in tow, looking for the Alpha of the pack. She doesn't realize the man she is looking for is no longer Alpha and finds herself answering questions to Alpha Garrett Foster. Garrett knows Janna is his mate but he wants answers. Answers she gives but she has no plan on staying and putting his pack in danger. Now Garrett has to prepare for the threat coming and convince Janna to stay and embrace the wolf inside her. This was really entertaining. A one sit read that had me anxious to get to the next page. Had this for awhile and should have read long ago. Highly entertaining.

Loved it!
I totally loved this story. It's a shorter length read and that was good because I was completely engrossed in the story and was able to read it all at once. This story was everything I love... loads of action, suspense and great "banter" and fun moments between Garrett and Janna (the 2 main characters). Also the supporting cast of characters was great... Just loved the complete package.Garrett Foster is the pack leader of the Lee County wolves. When Janna shows up at the outskirts of his town with two small children in tow,he questions them to find out exactly what their reason for being there is. Janna isn't being totally truthful or upfront, and though Garrett knows this, he's willing to wait her out, take in the three newcomers in and see what she has to say when she's ready to say it.Janna's a small fry but it seems she can hold her own. She's on a mission and determined to see it through. She's confused and lonely, grieving and full of anxiety, but stays strong for herself and the two little cubs she took under her wing along the way.Garrett's all you could ever hope for in an Alpha leader. He's respected by his wolf pack and family. He thinks quickly and decisively and he is ferociously protective. He's a good, strong leader with a heart.Outstanding supporting character cast. Garrett's brothers Marcus and Hunter are terrific and I am so hoping Ms. Gabelman will continue this series with stories for each of them. The relationship of the three brothers was great to see. Their antics, their humor, their protective streak of those in need... made my heart melt. I just fell in love with the whole package, the complete scenario. The elements of danger and suspense just added that special little touch to the story. You get to see Janna being selfless and in her own way protective of those she's come to love. AND you get to see Alpha Garrett in action, protecting what he's come to love. The story moved along nicely. It was completely what I've come to expect from Teresa Gabelman's books since first reading her VC warriors books. LOVED IT SO MUCH!

Good series start up!
This is a great start to a new series by Teresa Gableman. I have actually read all 3 in this series, but didn't realize I hadn't written a review for book one. I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 of these books and suggest them wholeheartedly. If you like Shifters who have close family ties and are totally committed to each other and the wellbeing of the group as a whole....read these books. You'll be on an emotional rollercoaster all the while cheering for all of the characters! (well, the nice, good ones at least!) Teresa shares Vamps from her Protector Series in Lee County so if you've read those, you'll enjoy the crossover. If not, it's no biggie. It will make you want to read that series, too. There isn't a bad book in the batch! I suggest everything she's written! Also, check out Rodeo Romance. :-)

I really liked this novella.
This is the first story of Ms Gabelman's new shifter paranormal romance series and it's certainly a well packed novella!I am already a fan of Ms Gabelman's other paranormal romance series The Protectors and love her writing style. I find her stories easy to read, her characters complex and believable and her story arcs well paced and contain a balanced mix of action, humour, tension/mystery and passion. This short introduction to the Lee County Wolf Pack was no exception. My only niggle is something that I find with lots of hooks in the romance genre; we teach girls that "no means no" so if boys push them they stand strong, well I would have preferred a particular scene with our heroine, Jenna and our hero, Garrett, to have been written slightly differently. If her mind says no (or even maybe), her lips say no, even if her nipples are erect, that is a NO!

The writing is just brilliant, such an incredible story that kept me transfixed
This is the first book I have read by this Author and oh boy, I am going to be busy reading. The writing is just brilliant, such an incredible story that kept me transfixed. I have a real weak spot for shifters and this story hit me in all the right places.A woman called Janna is looking for a man from her mothers past, desperately needing to speak to this man and get some answers since her mother died protecting him. Feeling unsure of her surroundings and protecting two small children along her journey makes her even more determined to find him and get protection for the children.Once she finds the town where she believes this man to be, she is approached by a very large man who wants his own answers as to why she is in his town, apparently strangers are not welcome. That's nice, NOT!! feeling her temper rise she does not back down from this man and his two unfriendly wolves.Garrett the man who has stopped Janna in her tracks is one very handsome man and just as determined as her to protect the people he loves. He has this overwhelming desire to protect Janna and makes it clear to everyone she is not available. Oh boy clue the alpha male, no one will actually mess with Garrett, what he says goes. There was so many characters in this book that I really want to hear more about, Garrett's brothers for sure, Marcus and Hunter, there is definitely a story there. So I am beyond happy that when I reached the end of this book, I seen there will be a book two. Lucky me and lucky for anyone else who reads this book, you will want more.Anyone who loves shifter romances, this is the book for you. It has laughter, love, hot males, danger and a sassy woman. Don't even think about it, skip your TBR list and download.

Fated to be mated?
I loved the protector series and so started this but it disappointed. No means No , even if her nipples were interested. She comes over as shallow and unable to defend herself. He's a know it all bully out for sex and she could have been a blow up doll. No love story, or even respect anywhere in the storyline. Another 'helpless' to her hormones female and bullying male. It's cringeworthy.

Great novella
I really enjoyed this novella, the first book I've read by this author. I wish it had been a bit longer to get more depth and detail, but I loved the 3 Foster brothers. Janna was feisty and I enjoyed her standoffs with Garrett as she fought to accept who she was. It was well written and I'm looking forward to reading book 2.

I personally do not like reading others reviews or writing them as I believe everyone should try an author for themselves. I personally love this author and have read all their books.

good read
As a fan of Teresa Gabelman's Protectors series I was looking forward to a good read and I wasn't disappointed, although it is quite short, more of an introductory novella than a full length novel I thoroughly enjoyed is and look forward to next installment. Fans of Teresa will love this.

Great Start
This is a great start to what promises to be a brilliant series. Hunter is next and if you want more fun and games from him read The Protectors Jax also by this brilliant author.
