Small Favors

I enjoyed this. It's very quaint with an old fashioned homespun feel despite the dark horror that lies within. It's well written, descriptive and magical, very different from most other YA fantasy and quite a refreshing change.

Small Favors is set in a secluded little town with a harsh winter setting in and 'monsters' hauting the woods. This book was spooky and eerie in all the best ways. Full of mystery and made you not sure what characters to trust, this book was hard to put down. A cross between Rumpelstiltskin and Shyamalan’s 'The Village', with easy to relate to characters and a beautiful aesthetic.

It's hauntingly beautiful! So many unexplainable things happened. You quickly become intrigued by the story and want to know what's going on. What's real and what's not. A true roller-coaster.Really liked this book!
