Paddywax Apothecary Collection Scented Soy Wax Jar Candle, 8-Ounce, Geranium Basil

I recently bought my first Paddywax candle at Urban Outfitters, the Vetiver & Cardamom scent. Have to admit that the apothecary bottle was what first caught my attention. I simply love these type bottles! Then the smell of the candle convinced me that it was a must buy, though a bit steep at $24. But when I burned it at home, it was phenomenal smelling, and filled up the room nicely! So I decided I wanted to try another scent, and looked online to see if could find them. Well, I was happy Amazon sells them, and decided to get the Geranium & Basil because I love both those scents, and bonus, it was considerably cheaper than at UO, so I was excited. But when I burned it, the scent did not equal the Vetiver & Cardamom in intensity. It was very mild, and while that may be what some prefer, I actually prefer my scented candles to fill a room with its distinct aroma. Not sure if this may be due to a weaker made batch. What I did do was add a few drops of Geranium EO (Aura Cacia is the brand I use) into it so it could intensify the smell, but while it smelled fantastic in the jar, the smell did not fill up the room as I desired. The scent in the jar is quite pleasing however, and if you prefer a mild scent, then I believe you'll be happy with this one.I don't regret my purchase, however, because I love the bottle and intend to use for storage, perhaps supplements. :-)

I bought two of these (geranium basil and sea salt sage) mostly for the jars, but the aromas and throw were both surprisingly pleasant. However, I was not happy to discover the glass is not amber, just coated with an orange film. This does not justify $20 for a candle.

As with Paddywax’s other products, the fragrance was great. But even with the good packaging, the neck of the glass was smashed. This product seems like it could be quite old as I noticed the candle inside the jar had come away from the glass, too.Scent was great though. I just returned it without hassle, didn’t bother with a replacement as one of the other reviews also said it arrived broken

Smells great but wick is on the very corner of candle and causes glass to turn black when lit.

The candle doesn't seem to last very long and the scent isn't as strong as other candles. I like Mrs. Meyers Germanium as it seems to last longer and has a stronger scent. The price is also too high and not worth it in my opinion. I liked the jar though.
