I liked it before better before they changed the bottle to green label. Now the pills are larger and the portions are different. However, these pills are still greatly effective. Prior to these pills my dog was noticeably limping. I have not seen my dog limping since about a month after she started these pills. The results have been exactly what I hoped for. Definitely recommended.

I love this supplement. My 10 year old, 55 pound Catahoula dog with two torn cruciate ligaments (one repaired, the other stabilized on its own) started having a hard time getting up from laying down. When I asked a good veterinarian friend of mine what to look for in a joint supplement, she recommended anything with a high green-lipped mussel content. After scouring the internet and comparing supplements, Glyco-Flex had the highest dose of Perna canaliculus that I could find in a supplement and was also one of the cheapest options out there.It's apparently quite palatable, my dog will eat it out of hand. It's vaguely shellfish-y smelling, but not disturbingly smelly.After only a week of use, I noticed my old man was having a much easier time of getting up from his bed and walking up and down the stairs. And after a month on the loading dose, he's playing with my 18-month old puppy like we rolled back the clock about 5 years. Last night was the first time in about a year that I saw him get down in a play-bow repeatedly during a rough and tumble play session. He's also back to bouncing (much to my dismay) when he sees his leash for evening walks.All in all, this is an awesome supplement. It's affordable and it works.

My 12 year old Akita mix was slowly losing her ability to run and jump over the past year, her rear legs seemed stiff and tight. My sister told me about Glyco-flex stage 2 and said she had very good results with her Labrador years back so I decided to go ahead and buy a bottle and give it a try.After just a few days I was seeing some good results she was moving around much more and even running the fence line at the neighbors dogs, something she didn't do in over a year, after a few weeks she was walking faster with less stiffness and seems to run a bit more too. Next week will be a month since giving it to her and I can honestly say that I am more then satisfied with the results of this product so far.The only negative part of it is my dog, she is fussy about taking pills or chewables (Glyco-flex is a chewable) of any kind so I do have to get a spoon full of can dog food to hide it in so she takes it.-Rich

When my pup stated limping, I knew exactly the product I wanted and from what company. We use to carry this very product, but stopped simply because we didn't sell enough. My vet told me there were only two companies that had 3rd party testing, and this is one! Human vitamins don't have that! Dosing on the side of bottle. It is a scored hard pill that breaks easily, and palatable to my large AND small dogs. This company also makes a soft chew if your dog prefers a soft treat and that is how I use mine, as a treat. This way, they see it as such and it reduces/takes the place of any extra calories. It will all depend on your dogs lameness, severity, age, weight, and actual diagnosis as to the time frame to see if there are any benefits. They also make a product for cats!

Excellent product, allows our 9 year Samoyed to run and play as if he was half his age. He has mild hip dysplasia and suffers from mild pain in his front leg during the winter due to an injury as a puppy (played too hard).Not pleased that the price went up since the last time we bought it, however. (Still cheaper than our vet though)

I had a 17 yr old Border Collie mix that was having much trouble getting up and getting around. Could not lay down and once down, he could not get up. After starting him on Glyco-Flex II he began laying down, getting up and, was able to go for walks again. I believe thanks to this product we were able to keep Griz around for over a year longer than we expected.I like the potency and the fact that it combines the most complete list of beneficial ingredients necessary to maintain and/or rejuvenate the cartilage, all in high doses too.Griz is gone now. We made the honorable painful choice he would have made for us in a great display of a dog's love. But thanks to Glyco-Flex II he didn't need to be carried on his last days.I highly recommend this product without a doubt, and will continue using it for my large breeds and weak joint/cartilage breeds.

So the price is amazing, active ingredients superb, HOWEVER, good luck getting your dog to eat this stuff. The pill is pretty darn large, reminds me of my pups Trifexis she used to take, and the smell resembles an herbal remedy your Granny used to force down your throat when you were sick with promises you'd be better in no time, but you were to busy gagging to hear her. I cannot comment as to the effectiveness because after shoving it down her throat one day and then having her reject it wrapped in a pill pocket, cheese, and peanut butter I decided to buy the FDA approved chew by Dasuquin with MSM. I'll happily pay the $37.50 every 4 months to avoid reaching my hands into the dark abyss of my Aussie/Border mixes throat. She's already 13, I think she's taken enough over the years.
