Not liked by any of our six cats. Would not recommend in general. Expensive too for what you get. **Q: Does the cat go inside?** A: It was the most terrible thing i bought. I put it in the trash.... Every time you spin it, it all over the floor. I went back to the regular cat litter. **Q: do you need the black base** A: Yes, the litter spinner is supported by and rolls on the base cradle. **Q: Can the litter drawer fit a litter genie, litter locker, or the litter champ? is it too big? too small? too long? Or do able?** A: I would say yes. I do not use the litter spinner because the opening was too small for one of my cats to be comfortable, however my father (83 yrs old) uses the litter spinner with the litter genie and likes it.
