The Jerusalem Bible Salvador Dali Edition The New Testament

The single most readable bible I have ever owned. Pick a book and start reading. Your will finish it and wonder where the time went. The footnotes and chapter introductions are invaluable study aides. This is a five pound beauty that deserves to be reprinted on modern onion skin paper. The readers edition trades those notes off for weight. The compromise wasn't worth it for me. I want the entire standard edition, leather bound. It deserves to be reprinted.

I was expecting merely "good" condition. What I received was truly excellent. The only indications it wasn't a new book were an ex libris stamp and a slight mustiness from storage. If I could give six stars, I would.

Almost pristine condition, just a little faded on the exposed spine - but the cover looks new. The slipcase protected it quite well. The pages are crisp and untattered. What a great find!!

I received The Jerusalem Bible yesterday. I am very pleased and happy with it. It is in excellent condition. The end of the book is somewhat faded but does not make the book bad in anyway. I think it is great. The printing is small, but there is so much in this book to read. If the printing were bigger, the book would weigh ten pounds.

The Bible it self was in fantastic condition as was the slip cover especially when you consider the age of both. The Bible is a great asset to any library but especially to a theological library. The translation is one that comes from a little different point of view from the other, more well known translations. It was a fantastic purchase.

Chose this item as it had a slipcase that came with it and was pictured as such but product arrived will no slipcase. Vendor was kind enough to give me a refund.

The Jerusalem Bible is my favorite translation of the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good translation of Scriipture.

Enjoying this edition of the Bible so much. It is a complete collection of know books, as far as I know.
