I normally use the freebie super-thin checkbook covers the bank uses (which nonetheless last forever, because who writes checks anymore?). I thought I'd get something a little sturdier when I finally had to order new checks after many years. Didn't want all the penholders and pockets and things -- just something with a little more going on than a super-cheap slip of vinyl.This one looks good -- love the orange, which stands out whenever I need to dig it out of its drawer. It feels substantial and well made. It's actually a little bigger than I wanted -- the padded leather and extra material beyond the edges of the check cause it to take up quite a bit more room than needed, but then again didn't I just say I wanted something less flimsy?It's a good piece, and not badly priced. Unless you need your checkbook to be extremely sleek or fit in a small pocket.Four happy-medium stars.

This is a very pretty checkbook cover. It's soft and cushioned and is a beautiful color. I bought it for my daughter to encourage her to keep her finances in order and I'm hoping that the pretty color will make it more enjoyable to do the work!
