Is this product like the Olaplex?

I don’t think the formula is the same, but, I believe, they were aiming for the similar mechanism of protection and restoring hair bonds. I liked the product a lot, especially considering it is priced very reasonably.

Question 2

The directions say to shampoo after, but if I am using mixing this with a hair coloring service, wouldn't shampooing wash the color out?

I never shampoo after, I simply rinse it very well, and follow with step 2, and then rinse after step 2, and followed with hair conditioner. Did it that way both when using this as a stand alone treatment, and when I added it to hair color.  It still got me amazing results.
