He's Great!
In just two short hours, our new addition- Equinsu Orcha- has become the thing to watch in our aquarium. I had wanted to make sure he had plenty of places to hide, so I got a couple of caves for him to choose from. I also ordered moneywort from this seller (and moss balls and shrimp), and planted the moneywort before letting this guy loose. Since I planted them behind his caves, we can always tell where he is because you'll see the plants being pushed out of the way. I also placed the greens that were shipped with him into a net bag and buried the ends for anchoring. One of his first orders of business was to dig that up and drag it to just outside one of the caves. Oh well, as long as it doesn't float away!He managed to pop his bag, but he was fine. I was worried when the box arrived wet, but he swam right out of his bag when given the opportunity, no worse for wear. We will definitely be ordering again, probably more shrimp!05/16/2015 Update: She (found out it was a she a few months after purchase when she developed eggs - I was worried, but they turned out to be unfertilized, and she eventually dropped them) is still going strong. We started out in a 20 gallon tank, but upgraded to a 40G because she just kept GROWING! She's still very active, and found a weakness in the new tank that allowed her to escape once. Thankfully, we found her, and have fixed the vulnerability. It doesn't keep her from trying, though! One thing- we developed an algae problem in the new tank because of its proximity to windows. I purchased 4 otos to clean it up. They are not fast enough, apparently, and they were gone (without a trace) within two weeks. My tetras and danios have always been just fine. Also, she likes to climb my air hoses and filter to get to the surface, and just sits there with her front claws out of the water. One day, I decided to have some fun and feed her treats (algae wafers) with tweezers while she was up there. It seems I've taught her a new way to get food, because now she goes up there all the time! She's started waving her front claws outside the water, looking for her treat. I oblige, if I see her there.

Healthy and Tame
I was a little scared see when i saw it but InvertObsession has changed its packaging so it was very secure, no drippy boxes. and tho there was little water (which looked yellow and made the crayfish look yellow and its black eyes where white, I'm inexerpanced and never saw that before) I know crayfish need that, I was very scared it was dead but its legs moved a bit. By the time i moved his bag into the aquarium (5 galllons) he started bucking his tail and i gradually let him into the water. HIs eyes are a normal black now and his shell is a pretty white just like the photograph. Hes very sensitive to light and wont come out when i turn the light on, so I'm very glad i bought a hide for him(her?) Even in the dark he spends most his time there. My only consern is that i havent seen him eat yet. I have food next to the hide and he doesnt seem intrested, but he does look healthy and is so passive! my guppies will swim around his claws and he doesnt do anything! They dont mind huddling around him and he doent either :) I was worried he would be too big for my tank ( an i couldnt find contact info for the shop to ask about care)All in all I am really happy I bought this great new addition to my tank.EDITCRAWFISH CRAWLED OUT OF TANK AND DIEDSAD. RIP casper: Day 1 2016 - Day 2 2016
would love to give my story: sadly 1 day after arriving he swam out a pinky size hole in the top of a decorationless 30gallon tank, and we all know how that ended i guessarrived healthy and early and i can't fault the seller for the sneakyness.....just hate it got out of such a small hole... i plugged the rest, didn't even see this one (it was between my lid and my filter....idk how i would even block that one w/o making it an eye sore....with like tape)

Not a good experience
The first shipment was bad, the white one was DOA and the blue died within hours. The company did replace them both after I contacted them. This time the white one began toolt the very first day and died shortly after. The blue one lasted a week then molted and died as well. I had our water tested and it was fine and all our other fish are flourishing. There ate hiding places for the crawfish to go when molting so that was not an issue. Also when shipped there were no plants with the fish as stated in their literature. They arrive in small plastic containers with a damp paper towel. I'm sure others have a great experience but we did not.

Made my tank a real showpiece!
I love Edward, my specter crayfish! I have had many tanks over the years and he is by far my favorite inhabitant. Every time I look in the tank he is doing something hilarious. Though I've lost a few fish to him and had to make special adjustments to prevent an escape it's been well worth it, coloring is georgeous and he's been very active for the 8 months I've had him. Whenever people come over they sit in front of the tank to watch what he's up to, even friends that aren't enthusiasts. I want to also note that the sweet couple running aquatic arts have awesome customer service and products and I will certainly purchase from them again because I believe they have a great company I want to support, which is too rare these days. If you are thinking about getting a cray DO IT, you won't regret it.

Impressive crayfish
Very impressed with crayfish color and impressive active nature.. It's active because it's an opportunistic feeder:) I'm very happy with my purchase, but I feel they should mention in there description that these crayfish can and might possibly catch and eat your fish. I lost three clown Loaches and 1 bala shark to one of these menacing bottom dweller. The Loaches were less than 3 inches and slept motionless in there hiding places easy pickings. These crayfish will help keep your fish active and will make your tank even more interesting to watch

Crayfish arrived quickly and in good health, in fact he was quite feisty when removing the paper towel. He is a great addition to our tank! The packaging seemed secured, but want labeled as a live animal which had me concerned when I got it. When the package arrived there was a couple dollars of postage due, but the fact that he arrived so quickly I can't complain too much.
