Tomorrow Never Dies is a high-octane account of media power as a lethal weapon when global communications in the wrong hands can literally manufacture the news and even challenge the course of history. Media magnate Elliot Carver wants everyone in the world tuned into his communications network. In order to do this, he must manufacture the news. His motto is "There's no news like bad news," He deliberately sets out to start a war and it's up to James Bond to stop him before he achieves his goal. Review: works - best movie, it works , had to send back other one it did not load, so happy it works Review: Fantastic presentation of one of my favorite James Bond movies - Tomorrow Never Dies is one of my favorite James Bond movies and the blu- ray version looks fantastic. The movie finds James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) and Chinese agent Wai Lin (Michelle Yeoh) up against Elliott Carver (Jonathan Pryce) who is trying to start World War III between China and Britain in order to raise ratings for his media empire. I bought this because my previous DVD was freezing up and skipping in certain areas, so I couldn't watch it. The great thing about blu -ray is that it doesn't skip and can easily bypass any issues the DVD has. The picture quality is excellent. My DVD had really good picture quality, but the blu - ray doubles that and looks crystal clear. The menu design is the same as the one on the ultimate edition DVD from 2006, which is what I have. It also has all the special features that the ultimate edition has, and they all fit on one disc. The difference is you can scroll through the chapters while still on the menu screen, something the DVD doesn't allow. The special features include two audio commentaries, deleted scenes, documentaries and more. I had debated getting the steel book of this movie as I thought the cover looked pretty cool, but I didn't really need that, and, honestly, this one does the trick, so I'm more than satisfied. The best thing about this for me is that the blu -ray should last longer than the DVD I've had for almost twenty years. This should double that. Definitely consider getting this version if you're looking to buy this movie. Highly recommended.

Modern Classic
Tomorrow Never Dies is the quintessential Bond film complete with all the right elements and gets the formula perfect. It sadly never quite escaped the huge shadow of Goldeneye, but I consider it actually superior to GE and overall the best of the Brosnan era. (And best modern Bond film overall) 1. Much better pre-title sequence. The most exciting one in the series along with Octopussy. Plus, there are no cringeworthy moments like Brosnan hanging updown in a bathroom stall or the ridiculous freefalling off a cliff. 2. Bond allowed to be Bond and not lectured by seemingly every character. In TND Bond is not called a misogynist dinosaur, or any number of other self-aware critiques that we have to endure throughout Goldeneye. 3. Bond actually uses his gadget laden car. What's up with that blue BMW in Goldeneye that barely even got driven? TND features a full on classic Bond car chase. 4. Better hair-cut. Lookin' sharp 007! The modern supporting cast of Samantha Bond, Judi Dench, Colin Salmon, and Joe Don Baker all look and act their very best in this film. 5. Awesome end credits song. Goldeneye ends with the lamest, most boring song possible. Did we just watch a Bond movie? TND has the great K.d Land "Surrender" that many Bond fans seem to like even better than the official title song. I just watched the Blu-Ray of TND and it looks fantastic. I did have an issue with most of the special features being played in a TINY window in the upper left area of my TV screen. I attached a still photo to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.

Born to play Bond
Even though Sean Connery is by far the best James Bond in the franchise. Pierce Brosnan was James Bond ,he had the look the voice and the charm he fit the roll. To me this is my favorite movie in the pierce Brosnan era ,why it has everything in a Bond movie lot’s of action villains cars and heroine’s great fun to watch.

Amazing action movie with a great plotline and good actors
Tomorrow Never Dies was a very amazing action movie with a great plotline and another great job by the current James Bond actor. What made it so good for myself was all the great one liner's done by Bond about the ladies he hits on, plus bonus points for the bike run ontop of the Chinese buildings. Basic plot is Bond is trying to stop a media man who is power hungry and wants to control the whole world. Another good point was some of the kill scenes the chopper, couple of the bad guys, and the best kill scene in my viewpoint was the main villian, if you have yet to see this Bond movie then buy it and see for yourself how the villian dies. I look forward to more Bond movies and the choose which one is the best actor for James Bond and which movie overall is the best movie of Bond. It will be a hard choice but I will wait until I own the whole set for all the Bond actors which off top of my head is six Bond actors, if I am wrong someone correct me with right figure.
