Very sticky tape. It sticks to my hands when I’m try to stick other things. I’m no tape connoisseur but this is some mighty fine sticky tape!

My revulsion to non-biodegradable plastic tape is pretty serious, as all plastic gets tougher and tougher to penetrate. And I've spent hours of my precious time, trying to make plastic-tape 'work' when it gets off-track on the dispenser. I've poked it, trying to find the seam, celebrated getting it lined up on the dispenser -- only to go off track again 15 minutes later.Never again. I LOVE this paper tape for shipping packages or holding my empty boxes together -- trying to be a good citizen collapsing down endless Amazon boxes. For me the tape is not overpriced, because of all the time I've spent trying to work effectively with environmentally-awful, plastic tape.It tears beautifully, is not hard at all to separate from the roll -- unlike plastic. It adheres very well to surfaces and is environmentally sound. I think I associated paper tape with wetting the roll. Not with this modern update [which is probably 20 years old!!!]Thankyou -- whoever invented this tape. I am grateful for such a simple improvement in my daily life and rapidly-growing artisan business. Our imperiled Earth thanks you, too. Increasingly indestructable plastic is killing her slowly.

Needed this product for some vintage framed art that had a few ripped areas on the back

I needed some old boxes for a show. We dismantled them, turned them inside out so there was no printing, then used this tape to put them back together. Not avery area stuck well, but for the most part, it worked just fine.

In the photo, you can see what I was hoping for - a packing tape like you see commonly on boxes and similar to the kind that Amazon itself uses. What I got was a highly glossy tape that looks bad and has trouble sticking to surfaces (like other tape). Most of all, the glossy part prevents any kind of additional layering so if you covered most of the area, but need a little more, you can't put another strip down anywhere another strip already is (because they won't stick to each other). Totally useless - returned.

I am pleased with this tape and happy that there are many more choices for biodegradable paper tape than there used to be. This tape is easy to work with, tears easily, fits a 3M dispenser perfectly, and the adhesion is very good. Makes it easier to re-use boxes for shipping as previous tape and markings can be covered.I love the fact that it's biodegradable, since the cardboard is easier to recycle or compost. I use a lot of cardboard in gardening and it's time-consuming to remove the tape. Many online sellers have a tendency to mummify their packages with tape too, very annoying!The glossy finish is unnecessary though, might look for a non-glossy roll next time.
