Heavy duty, fit my H burner two dial "regular size" grill perfectly
Fit our "regular size" Kenmore grill perfectly. If you have a multiple burner monster grill it will not fit. I had to expand two inched on both sides and about an inch back to front. It is relatively easy to adjust on a smooth surface, you do have some meshing of the posts between other posts but it is easy if you start at one end.The metal is much heavier than the picture indicates, and when snuggly put together properly it is quite strong. I've seen grills with top grates much thinner than this, I couldn't bend this with bare hands. Plenty strong enough to hold stone briquettes. Those complaining about the U shapes pieces in the corner must have a grill too big for this item, the briquettes straddle the metal pieces easily with no difference. The prior one lasted 10 years, and this looks even more heavy duty. So, if you have a two dial single H burner "regular size" grill this should work perfectly for you.

Helped save me several hundred $ when I switched from vapor panels to ceramic coals
I purchased two of these adjustable rock grates to cover my 30 inch American Outdoor Grill that had rusted through. The vapor panels were too expensive, so I decided to replace vapor bars with ceramic coals, in which case I needed a rock grate to cover my burners so ceramics wouldn't encroach. The project worked and saved me $$$ big time. Glad I found out about these.

one size fits all
easily adjustable to fit most grills. Used to support the ceramic bricks over the flame. I'd have liked construction using a heavier wire for longer life but the grid seems to be holding up well so far.

Slip Slide
While they fit my upgrade project, I'm not crazy about the design. Seems they should have some sort of clamp to lock the 2 pieces in place...

Go to a metal shop instead
Did not fit my grill even though it's within the size recommended. Continually fell apart, couldn't even get it stable enough to begin laying rocks on. Assumed I was missing something in the instructions, rebuilt at least 3x before giving up.Here's a hint, and what I eventually did: for far less than the cost of this kit, measure the dimensions of your grill (subtract 1/2" for fit and expansion), then find a metal shop in town. As them to cut you a piece of expanded metal to size. I ended up with a perfectly fit, rock-solid grate for about $14.

"WARNING...Heavy Package"
When I saw the warning label on the box I could not imagine what I had ordered. I opened the box and there was my rock grate and a box of ceramic rocks (ordered separately) from Amazon. Some months ago I ordered a Weber gas grill from Amazon. I was surprised that the grill had no ceramic bricks in it. The food service industry decades ago spent thousands of dollars trying to duplicate the charcoal taste for the food industry. They invented the ceramic brick and it works. I could tell you why it works, but you do not have all day here. I am not willing to give up the taste of my charcoal grilled steaks and burgers. SO...I found a way to install this grate in my grill and have the best of both worlds...Charcoal taste with the ease of a gas grill. This grate is heavy duty and will last me for years. It is one of the few wise investments I've made that gives me such a pleasurable return.

Fit perfectly
No problem setting it up to size, and it holds the lava rocks in place. I buy GrillPro products for my grill all the time!

Excellent value for there money!
First impression was this was a cheap piece of junk that was going to get sent back. But if you will take the time to actually set it up patiently and NOT knock it over before getting it balanced then it will does it's job very well.My family grills out at least 3-4 times per week year around. We have gone close to a year now. It has held up very well. Especially in my slightly odd shaped, all cast iron gas grill. First time using the grill bricks versus briquettes and I'm loving the setup!
