Freeze Fresh: The Ultimate Guide to Preserving 55 Fruits and Vegetables for Maximum Flavor and Versatility Paperback – July 5, 2022

I follow Crystal on Instagram, and finally got her book. All of your questions will be answered about freezing, because that is how she rolls:) She's extremely thorough, and has been doing the 'food' thing for so long she knows all the what's & hows. This book has great pictures as well! But my favorite thing about it are the recipes & practical suggestions on what to freeze, which will save you lots of time & get you on track much faster than if you figured everything out yourself as a newbie. I think people get excited about homesteading/preserving their own food, so they start stashing things away but may not actually use everything if there is no 'plan'. Crystal gives you an idea of what to put away, and recipes to go with. I definitely suggest finding meals you make the most/enjoy, then preserving items from those recipes! Especially for certain ingredients that are costly or not that great of quality from the grocery store (like organic potatoes for instance...very costly! berries too!). I look forward to trying out some of these delicious recipes this year....thanks Crystal!

I was pleasantly surprised when I received this book! I have a backyard garden, growing food to eat and share with family and friends. I have reached my goal of sharing enough food for those around me, and now I need to begin preserving some food. Canning will come next year, but since I am just beginning, I bought this book to get started! Not only does it explain how to preserve food in a freezer, it has recipes to use foods as you thaw them and recipes to make and freeze. Great information that can be used instantly!

This book is a great help if you are new to freezing food. For me, it had some new ways to freeze and use some of the vegetables that were home grown.

I found this book to have a lot of information I really wanted. First, it has lots of pictures, as opposed to constant narrative. It's well organized, informative, and has techniques and recipes I can't wait to try. I heartily recommend this book.

This is a FABULOUS book on how to preserve your harvest w/your freezer, but w/methods that prevent your produce from that "frozen veg texture" I usually dislike so much. Crystal has truly broken the code, & also gives you recipes for using what you've frozen. Besides that, she has many actually -useful- tips for storage & use, for things you'll actually eat & have time for, versus the rather involved recipes & ideas in so many other books...for foods that aren't practical for everyday cooking.Her freezer pickles recipe, alone, is worth the price of the book. Truly - if you raise veggies or have access to great, fresh produce, you owe it to yourself to buy this book. It's that good (& no, I don't know her & no, I'm not being compensated for this review; I just truly love this book).

I have been doing so much preserving of foods but needed more information on freezing. This is a great book & has lots to teach us. I love this book!

Has a lot of recipes and instructions on how to freeze a lot of foods

Freezing is such a blessing in our modern times. It saves so much money and is a great way to store food to easily use and create easy meals from day to day. The author is very experienced in freezing food and divulges all of her tips and tricks for someone who is new to freezing food and might feel intimidated. This book got me into using silicone molds to create easy to grab portions of ingredients. She also taught me how to freeze on a tray before bagging so that way you can just grab a handful of whatever while cooking (example: chopped onion).

This book has lots of full colour photos and information on freezing, and using, many different vegetables and fruits.I am glad to have this for my library!

I’m so glad I bought this book! A great book for beginners and seasoned gardeners alike. Would make a great gift! This book will be a handy reference in the years to come.
