This Digital Recorder has a lot of features But at least you can understand the book, and easy to learn how to set this Digital Recorder up. I am glad they finely have a book that you can understand and read in simple language. One thing on this recorder is the VOX. You can use this at lectures and it will come on when hears some speaking. Just flip on the record feature and it will come on when hears a noise or someone talking. if bo sound it will stop, or just shut the record off. (AND THIS RECORDER IS NOT EXSPENSIVE AT ALL.) My box did not contain the cable to connect with microphone.I emailed seller but have not heard anything back.This is appears to be a fairly good recorder but there is a learning curve so I'm not sure if my rating forthe product itself will increase or decrease.It seems to play back louder than a few I've recently tried and that's a plus.The instructions are translated from Chinese to English better than most recorders but still lacking.

Once you place this recorder in your hand you will see that its made very well and solid. It has alot of features so take the time and read the manual completely. The sound quality is excellent, loud and clear. The voice activation recording works without any problems and is easy to adjust. You can charge it with your computer but I use my USB cell phone charger. Comes in a nice retail style box.

Amazing little package. Too bad the screen is so hard to read. I would give it a higher rating if it really could be used with an external microphone. When I placed an external microphone jack in the microphone input, no sound was recorded. I could not find any way to contact the manufacturer.Update: Now that I have figured out how to use the recorder with an external microphone (use of different jack), I am raising my rating to 4 stars. The instructions could be better and the screen isn't easy to read.

Nice little recorder, easy to carry around and transport when needed. Play back sounds great.

This digital voice recorder is garbage, not practical and in less then a year has malfunctioned and no longer records correctly (after very limited use.) You get what you pay for in this case and suggest buying a Sony product instead.

Does anyone know how to transfer audio files to computer. When I hook up USB cable it does not show up as an active device to open and transfer or delete files. Unfortunately I lost the user manual and cant seem to find a PDF file version on line. Thanks

This thing has AMAZING quality, but it's missing variable speed playback, which it advertises having. That was the main thing I was looking for, to cut listening time of lectures.
