Growing up, I was always near golf, but never practiced it until I was in my teens. Golf was the only other thing I had in common with my father: we were both terrible. But with any other skill, it requires continuous practice. It's been many years since I practiced, so I am definitely rusty. This collapsable putter is a handy and travel friendly way of always having a good way to practice.The putter ships in a surprisingly compact package and it can extend up to 35 inches (measured end to end). From the club head construction, it's clear it's an ambidextrous putter and the head has a rubberized finish. Construction is good, but I would not use it out in the field.It's definitely a practice tool. When thinking about it as such, then it's an excellent practice tool. I guess it could serve as a backup putter, but it's seems to be primarily a travel-friendly practice tool. I was going to rate it much lower, but as I started to think of it more for traveling or practicing in a hotel room or when there is no time to go to the range, I realized it's actually well thought out. For the times you can't fit a full size putter in your suitcase, this is a great way to stay sharp.The handle grip material is excellent and feels like a true grip.The main issue I had is with the rubberized finish on the club head as it dampens the feedback from hitting a ball. Much of the experience putting is with the sound and sensation of the impact of the golf club and the golf ball. And that gets lost in a rubberized putter.It ships with foam practice golf balls, so that lack of a feedback (sound and impact sensation) from hitting a ball happens on these practice balls as well.With all of that said, as a practice tool that is collapsible and travel friendly, it is a good product.
