Fast and Clear Results
This is a great test to check if you have the APOE gene associated with an elevated risk of Alzheimers (APOE4). You recieve a half of the APOE gene from both parents and the results will list both inherited very clearly so I dont understand other reviews saying it doesnt. vague
My father is showing signs of dementia or worse, my mom for sure has dementia, I wanted to know if I have the gene for Alzheimer or dementia, all I got was I have a moderate chance, does not tell me if I have the gene or not, don't waste $80.00, you can probably guess just as good as they do.

I am still waiting for my results
It's a bit nerve-wracking to wait - especially since my father died of complications due to Alzheimer's, my grandfather (paternal) and his sister (my great aunt) as well also died of complications due to dementia (back then it was not identified as Alzheimer's) so it does run in my family. My brother is several years older than me an I know it has been on his mind for years that he would end up like our father, but so far, his only big issue is diabetes that he doesn't control well (had a foot amputated). Being the youngest of four and in my 60s, I still want to know if I may be the one of us kids walking around with the APOE gene. When I get my results back, I will update here. The test was very easy to use.

Don’t advise
I could have gotten the same vague answer from my doctor. It was a waste of my money

Accurate diagnostic test for the APOE gene. Knowledge is power.
This test was very simple to do and results came quickly. It is always good to know if you have a higher than average chance of contracting a life altering disease or illness. I have three aunts who had Alzheimer's Disease so I was wondering if maybe I was walking around with the gene and didn't know it. Dementia also runs in the family. I was relieved to see that I do not carry the APOE gene. Everything went flawlessly and quickly and I have peace of mind that at least I don't have a heightened chance to develop Alzheimer's, dementia, or heart disease from genetics. I could still get any of these but, had the test come back positive, I could have spoken with my doctors and taken early action to hopefully keep these things at bay longer or even prevent them from happening at all. Well worth the price for the knowledge.
