Excellent rain protection
Well designed hood & collar which keeps all wind and rain out. Cuffs too. Warm for how thin the lining is. The pockets are very shallow and should be deeper where the zippers end. Items can fall out if the pockets are not zipped up at least half way. I would still recommend this jacket.

Not waterproof a all
Just got back from sailing for the last 3 months in the Med. First time in a rain, soaked. Not from the ocean, from a light rain. Doesn't breathe at all. This is a sunny day sailor jacket. Get a Musto or a Gill especially for half the price and actually a good product. For the price, this as a huge letdown. Only giving 2 stars because it is a good looking jacket.

Helley Hansen makes excellent jacket. Good quality, well made, you get what you pay for - It last forever !i always get 1 size bigger as i need and want more room when i move !
