Not sure what color to choose its between camouflage and Gold any suggestions?

I have not seen the camouflaged version of this controller, but the gold version is epic. It looks much better than on the picture. When I bought it for my boyfriend, I almost kept it for myself. Lol. I highly recommend it.

The red, blue, and gold controllers with the shiney, glossy finish seem like they would get particularly slippery with sweaty hands- do they?

No, It's actually kind of a matte finish, It's quite comfortable.

Can you use the usb cable for it and connect it to the pc without the wireless adapter?

No you can not, One of Microsoft's over sights on the 360. the cable is to charge the play and charge kit. or power the controller with out batteries. There is no data transfer on the cable, you will need the wireless adapter for PC to get it to work on PC
