The Mackinaw wool is condensed and is 24 oz. This coat will keep you warm in the teens with a sweater underneath it and it is a very functional and utilitarian piece of equipment. You will most likely have this for generations with minor upkeep like buttons if fall off- easy fix. *sizing* This coat fits large. I am 5’10 200 lb muscular build and a medium fits well with enough room to fit a sweater underneath and enough room to move. I initially ordered a large and was swimming in it like I could actually wear a schott motorcycle leather jacket underneath the large and still move lol.
