Traveling back in times w
First time I read Sujatha’s stories and it took me sometime to get used to his writing style. Sometimes I had to read twice or thrice to understand. His style of story telling is very unique and interesting. I just loved the way he has narrated the stories in Sreerangathu Devadhaigal. Awesome. Now I am addicted to his writing.

The simple annals of a middle-class brahmin community around Srirangam
There's no parallel to Sujatha in Tamil fiction, and his style of writing is undoubtedly the best and connects to his readers with ease and leaves A profound impact on them. He is the Tamil version of PG Wodehouse!

Good to read
Very simple language and close to the nativity. We can understand the lifestyle of Srirangam. This resembles my childhood memories.

Amazed by the word plays
Its an experience. Could be yours or mine too. The portrayal brought me back a lot of my childhood memories even when the events in the book had absolutely no relevance in mine.

Excellent - brings all those characters alive
Anyone from Srirangam, Manachanaluur, TN should not miss this epic from Sujatha. His style of writing I should say all started from his very young age observing interesting characters. He wrote en iniya iyandhra a precursor for Shankar for his Einthiran.

most amazing collection
These are Sujatha’s gems! His style flourishes natively as soon as he narrates about his favorite Srirangam. Every landmark, every nondescript object, every minute ritual gets its own character on these stories. They get so lively and wields a larger than life influence. If such inanimate objects gets so lively, one cannot imagine how the real life characters of the story take over. I have read all these many many times. It absorbs me with absolute interest EVERY time. I absolutely have to take a pause after every story out of respect, to chew on it, to wonder the amazing imagination of our dear Sujatha and his dear Srirangam

Great collection of short lived experiences
Rooted, authentic and beautifully written experiences of a once in a generation writer! Brutally honest and vulnerable showing the very human side of the writer Sujata Rangarajan!

Younger days of Sujatha.
It is a great experience to know the real and true younger Rangarajan, without any cosmetic shades. Sujatha could have polished or modified the stories purposely to save his face. The greatness of Sujatha is to bring the original young Rangarajan with openness and honesty.
