FULL REVIEW + PICTURES
Hope my review & feedback of this product along with the pictures I will post will help a few fellow Amazon shoppers: QUALITY? 8/10 ~ When you first open up the package it strongly smells like plastic. But after a few days it goes away. The quality is nice. It does the job. It's not too rough or annoying and my computer mouse moves around with no problem on it. Though it gets dirty a little too fast because the material used to make this sort of absorbs dirt and dust and since the color is black it's really noticeable. It's still super worth it considering how cheap it is though. SIZE? 10/10 ~ Big enough. I do video editing and I also do computer gaming. When you game you need to move the mouse all over the place but thanks to the decent size of this thing I never had problems. PRICE? 10/10 ~ The price is honestly a joke. It's so cheap not event he dollar store would be able to beat it. And it comes with free shipping as an option? No way? I'd buy this thing 10 times over and still be happy with it. Other online or local stores sell these things for like $15 - $20! Check out the pictures I will also include: feel free to ask me any questions / let me know if my review was helpful to you

A Reliable and Comfortable Mouse Pad
I've been using the Belkin Large Mouse Pad for several years now, and I'm very impressed with its quality and performance. The 8x9 inch size provides ample space for my mouse to move freely, and the non-slip base keeps it securely in place. The surface of the mouse pad is smooth and provides excellent tracking for my mouse. It's also comfortable to rest my wrist on, which has helped reduce strain during long hours of computer use. I highly recommend this mouse pad to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable option. It's a great addition to any computer setup.

Great Product.
I've been using this mouse pad for 2 years and its quite great. It's small and would be excellent in a work environment. Its quite durable and easy to clean. Very smooth to run a mouse along. I don't know if there's a bigger version but as a home user I would kill for one. They made a really great product here that I would absolutely recommend for casual use.

Belkin Mouse Pad: Such a deal... such a smell! But there's a solution.
At the price that's offered, it's no wonder that this Belkin 8-by-9-Inch Mouse Pad (Black) is the #1 in sales for mouse pads. It's simple, basic black and the perfect 9.2 x 8.3 inches that have almost become an industry standard. There are no duckies, Hawaiian tropical flowers, basset hounds, sports team logos, photos of Sports Illustrated Sports Illustrated swimsuit models , hot air balloons, comic book characters, or images of mountains that you'll probably never visit. It's just a basic black mouse pad; nothing more, nothing less. But... oh, the smell! Maybe that's an added feature, a freebie that wasn't noted in the product specs? Actually, there's a fast and easy solution to remove that somewhat noxious odor, but bear with me so that you'll understand the logic. Some of the first mouse pads were actually made from manufacturer's scrap of the same neoprene foam backed with a thin sheet of nylon or Spandex that we find in Scuba and free-dive wetsuits , and some of us made out own mouse pads from worn out or badly torn wetsuits. So what does this have to do with smelly mouse pads? That's easy: those old wetsuits stunk when new, but one hoped the atrocious smell would go away by the second or third dive. However, they smelled like a cross between a wet dog and dead opossum road kill when left in a plastic bag in the trunk of a car for a few days after a dive, so they had to be washed... and quickly. Today we have products such as Sink The Stink Wetsuit Wash and others to deal with getting rid of the stench. But these cost more than the mouse pad itself, which is ridiculous. The solution is simple: wash the mousepad thoroughly with your standard kitchen dishwashing soap. Good old green Palmolive works fine. Rinse it and gently wring out the excess water, then wash it again the same way (think of it like shampooing your hair). Set it on a flat surface between layers of paper towels to blot up the excess water. Depending on your climate, it should be dry and ready to use within a day or two. I'm not going to suggest that you try this, but there are some of us who take our mouse pads and put them in the washing machine with older dark clothes. Just remember to not put them in a clothes dryer. OK, back to the mouse pad. It's good, it's priced right, it's functional, it will work with just about any mouse, be it optical or the older one with mouse balls. Wash it and get rid of that smell that makes one think you pulled it out of a garbage dump or an old tire recycling plant and it will last a long time. 9/5/2012

Good basic mousepad
I used to get all the fancy mousepads with the cute images and all that (the cat pizza one was one of my faves), but as I've gotten older, I just don't care about that anymore. I want things that work, that I can depend on. This is that. It's a mousepad. It's black and plain and does the job beautifully. What more do you need? After the first week or so, I don't think I ever even looked at all those lovely mousepads I sunk money into for no reason except "cute." Shrug. If I don't even "see" it after a week, what's the point? This works, and I notice it just as much as I noticed my other mousepads . . . not at all. I love it for that reason. It's not shedding little black balls of gunk and it just sits there . . . padding my mouse. As it should. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Seems to be decent - god awful smell that is extremely overpowering though
Decent size for the price, has a nice texture to it. Only complaint is the overwhelming chemical stench coming off of it. It's been in my office for about an hour now and my nose is dried out and burning from breathing in the fumes. Other reviewers are saying the smell dissipates in a few days, but I had taken this out of the package 3 days ago and it's still overwhelming my nose. 2025 Update : Been using this thing for a few years now. The quality has absolutely held up over that time. The smell thankfully DID go away. I don't really remember when, but I genuinely forgot that it used to stink until I started looking at my old reviews haha. Would recommend this again. Has been a great mousepad.

It's... fine.
I got this mouse pad a few years ago, and I honestly never thought to write a review about it this entire time, until now, because I'm considering buying one more oriented for gaming. This is the most basic mouse pad you could probably ever buy. It's very simple and straightforward; there's nothing remarkable about it whatsoever. Now, that's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's not a good thing either. I think it smelled a little when I bought it, but that's pretty typical. It slides around a little, but I don't notice until my mouse comes off the pad because of how out of place it is, which is also pretty typical. It keeps my mouse from slowly scraping the finish off of my desk, which is exactly what a mouse pad is supposed to do. There's no funky design, or unusual feature of the mouse pad, it's... just a mouse pad. I don't need a replacement at all, really. I want one. This thing could probably go for years and years and I would continue to entirely forget that it's there until I inevitably have to adjust it's position once every few hours. I have nothing particularly negative to say about the pad (sliding aside), but nothing particularly good either. It's perfectly average, and it will serve its purpose well. I rated it 3 stars to reflect this fact: it serves it's purpose with a lack of noteworthy traits, aside from a couple hiccups here and there. You could get this mouse pad, and it will be no different than a mouse pad you get for free from your work, or the attic, or from a company you've never even heard of for $1.49.

Perfect
Exactly what I was looking for. My mouse pad came as 7-3/8" by 9" but it's a small difference and I still love the size; it's perfect for my limited desk space. Has a good thickness too. My HP optical mouse works flawlessly on this mouse pad. I've been using this pad for over a month and it still looks brand new - no fraying, no dust or lint buildup, no tearing, no bubbling in the fabric. Any dust that does get on it, I just brush right off. I like to let a little of the pad hang off the edge of my desk for a wrist buffer (poor posture, I know); but even with this, it doesn't show any signs of tearing yet. And it was cheap! I purchased from Amazon. Standard Shipping (I'm in New Jersey) brought the price to $10.57 I love this mouse pad. Update: My mouse pad is now over 2 1/2 years old and the only thing that's changed is a light fraying on the side where the mouse cord rubs up against the edge of my desk/pad. It has held up INCREDIBLY well for its price. I am very happy with my purchase. Some other reviews mention a bad smell; my mouse pad isn't like that - wasn't like that when I first got it and still doesn't have a smell. This mouse pad looks like it will hold up for a long time but, when I do need a new one, I will buy another one of these!
