Little valuable information provided
I have never been compelled to write a book review until purchasing a (used ) copy of Peter Heshaw's the essential buyers guide to BMW Boxer Twins. The book provides little essential information (aside from painfully obvious information germaine to nearly any motorized vehicle). Despite spending little money on this used copy, I felt totally ripped-off. Buying it on Amazon I didn't have an opportunity to review the book (actually it's more like a 64 page booklet). It lists for $25 U.S. (I think I paid ~$6 including shipping). In my opinion is not worth $6 much less $25. In bold print the book/booklet warns: "Don't buy a BMW without buying this book first." I say don't buy this booklet until you page through it. Who knows you may find it essential, particularly is you're 12 years old, or have had a motorcycle accident and have a severe cognitive disability.

Not a book - more like a pamphlet
When this "book" arrived, in an envelope, I was very curious to see what it was in the mail. On opening the envelope, and finding this inside, the only thing to do was laugh. Caveat Emptor, my friends. This should be a trade-show handout, rather than sold as a "book." Content reveals little, if anything, germain to the marque and the shopper is advised to move along. Volume is 7 ¾ X 5 ½ X ¼" Many pages of generic information - how to shop in an auction, how to organize yourself with Motor Vehicle Registry, paint issues, etc., that could just as well apply to an old Hudson as a BMW motorcycle. Good for a 13 year old perhaps, if you need a gift and don't want to go in deep.
