SR Memphis Blue Microphone
I play in an acoustic Irish folk punk band. Our stage setup uses two vocal mics for five guys moving around on stage, with all of us singing around the mics. We've been using AT-2035 condenser mics, which would be great if we were 100% acoustic, but our instruments are all electric or mic'd up. Therefore, the 2035's are just too hot for our stage setup and give our soundman unending headaches trying to keep them under control. We decided to switch out to dynamic mics, but we wanted something in a classic Unidyne style to continue in our style of circling around the mics when singing. After doing a bit of research, the SR Memphis Blue kept popping up in the comparisons to the Shure Super 55, SH-55, and a host of other imitators. (Monoprice has long been a go-to for sound equipment. They have amazing bang for the buck.)Fast forward to getting the mics delivered. This thing is built like a TANK. All metal and shiny chrome and heavy! (Do make sure you have a sturdy stand. These things are heavy big pigs.) They came in a hard case for transporting to gigs, which is a bonus. The moment of truth came when running a side by side comparison to the AT-2035 through our full PA. The AT was at it's usual borderline shreiking hotness, but when we fired up the Memphis, not only did we have the same polar proximity area, but we could also crank up the monitors without fear of waking the feedback banshees. We even had one of our mains pointed towards the mic, and it was a trooper. Good flat response, plosives are a little meh if you get in too close, but we're not mic eaters, so it's not a problem. All in all, great bang and looks for the buck! We'll circle back in a few months after gigging with them, but so far, it's been great!

Muy buen producto le daría 5 estrellas pero tienes que centrarte bien para que registre buena calidad de voz si te mueves hacia arriba o abajo no registra bien la voz

This is a surprisingly good microphone
I totally dig this microphone, I've used it to record live performances and I cannot complain at all and it looks cool as all get.

Vintage style, super affordable
After looking at similar, vintage-style mics, I found Monoprice makes this one. As a guitarist, I know Monoprice has produced some great, cheap gear, and this is the same. The mic is solid and sounds really good, especially for live use. I think this is just about as good as a similar Shure mic, but at 1/3 of the cost. Huge value here.Response is good. The pop screen cuts plosives nicely. The cardioid pattern is pretty tight, with drop off happening just over an inch out of the center. I really like this, as it picks up very little of my guitar in the room.Note, the mount for the mic is very close to the cable jack, so it doesn't work well with all mic stands, and you may need to remove the tightening "daisy" on your stand to make it fit.I wish the pop screen wasn't bright blue, but something more neutral.Still, overall, an unbeatable value for this level of vintage style.

AMAZING MIC
I was a bit nervous about buying this mic, as I usually am when buying new tech. But I must say this mic is amazing. Looks beautiful and sounds better than my last vintage mic which cost me $160+. Highly recommended for anyone. Looks and sounds like a $1000 mic for less than a 100 dollars. Will update this if I see any issues going forward. Thanks for reading.

Beautiful but useless
It looks great, nice and heavy, feels awesome in the hands.Too bad the XLR jack and mounting jack are so close together it’s not possible to insert an XLR cable and mount this mic at the same time. The width of the XLR cable connector will be too wide for any mounting hardware to be used. I own many dozen different XLR cables from most brands sold on Amazon and none of them are low profile enough to be inserted when the mic is mounted on a normal mic stand.Too bad, it looks gorgeous but is totally useless.
